| 1 | Αὕτη ἡ βίβλος γενέσεως ἀνθρώπων· ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν Αδαμ, κατ' εἰκόνα θεοῦ ἐποίησεν αὐτόν· |
This [is] the genealogy of men in the day in which God made Adam; in the image of God he made him: | Generations - Adam. Gn.5.1-32 | 1Chr.1.1-4 | This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. | זֶה סֵפֶר תֹּולְדֹת אָדָם בְּיֹום בְּרֹא אֱלֹהִים אָדָם בִּדְמוּת אֱלֹהִים עָשָׂה אֹתֹו׃ |

male and female he made them, and blessed them; and he called his name Adam, in the day in which he made them. | | Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created. | זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה בְּרָאָם וַיְבָרֶךְ אֹתָם וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁםָם אָדָם בְּיֹום הִבָּרְאָם׃ ס |

| 3 | ἔζησεν δὲ Αδαμ διακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν κατὰ τὴν ἰδέαν αὐτοῦ καὶ κατὰ τὴν εἰκόνα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Σηθ. |
And Adam lived two hundred and thirty years, and begot [a son] after his [own] form, and after his [own] image, and he called his name Seth. | | When Adam had lived a hundred and thirty years, he became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. | וַיְחִי אָדָם שְׁלֹשִׁים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בִּדְמוּתֹו כְּצַלְמֹו וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמֹו שֵׁת׃ |

| 4 | ἐγένοντο δὲ αἱ ἡμέραι Αδαμ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Σηθ ἑπτακόσια ἔτη, καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας. |
And the days of Adam, which he lived after his begetting Seth, were seven hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters. | | The days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years; and he had other sons and daughters. | וַיִּהְיוּ יְמֵי־אָדָם אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־שֵׁת שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

| 5 | καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Αδαμ, ἃς ἔζησεν, ἐννακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη, καὶ ἀπέθανεν. |
And all the days of Adam which he lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died. | | Thus all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died. | וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי אָדָם אֲשֶׁר־חַי תְּשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וּשְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס |

| 6 | Ἔζησεν δὲ Σηθ διακόσια καὶ πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ενως. |
Now Seth lived two hundred and five years, and begot Enos. | | When Seth had lived a hundred and five years, he became the father of Enosh. | וַיְחִי־שֵׁת חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־אֱנֹושׁ׃ |

| 7 | καὶ ἔζησεν Σηθ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ενως ἑπτακόσια καὶ ἑπτὰ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας. |
And Seth lived after his begetting Enos, seven hundred and seven years, and he begot sons and daughters. | | Seth lived after the birth of Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and had other sons and daughters. | וַיְחִי־שֵׁת אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־אֱנֹושׁ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

| 8 | καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Σηθ ἐννακόσια καὶ δώδεκα ἔτη, καὶ ἀπέθανεν. |
And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died. | | Thus all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died. | וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי־שֵׁת שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס |

| 9 | Καὶ ἔζησεν Ενως ἑκατὸν ἐνενήκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Καιναν. |
And Enos lived an hundred and ninety years, and begot Cainan. | | When Enosh had lived ninety years, he became the father of Kenan. | וַיְחִי אֱנֹושׁ תִּשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־קֵיןָן׃ |

| 10 | καὶ ἔζησεν Ενως μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Καιναν ἑπτακόσια καὶ δέκα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας. |
And Enos lived after his begetting Cainan, seven hundred and fifteen years, and he begot sons and daughters. | | Enosh lived after the birth of Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years, and had other sons and daughters. | וַיְחִי אֱנֹושׁ אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־קֵיןָן חֲמֵשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

| 11 | καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ενως ἐννακόσια καὶ πέντε ἔτη, καὶ ἀπέθανεν. |

| 12 | Καὶ ἔζησεν Καιναν ἑκατὸν ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μαλελεηλ. |
And Cainan lived an hundred and seventy years, and he begot Maleleel. | | When Kenan had lived seventy years, he became the father of Ma-hal'alel. | וַיְחִי קֵיןָן שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵל׃ |

| 13 | καὶ ἔζησεν Καιναν μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Μαλελεηλ ἑπτακόσια καὶ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας. |
And Cainan lived after his begetting Maleleel, seven hundred and forty years, and he begot sons and daughters. | | Kenan lived after the birth of Ma-hal'alel eight hundred and forty years, and had other sons and daughters. | וַיְחִי קֵיןָן אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵל אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

| 14 | καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Καιναν ἐννακόσια καὶ δέκα ἔτη, καὶ ἀπέθανεν. |
And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died. | | Thus all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died. | וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי קֵיןָן עֶשֶׂר שָׁנִים וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס |

| 15 | Καὶ ἔζησεν Μαλελεηλ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιαρεδ. |
And Maleleel lived an hundred and sixty and five years, and he begot Jared. | | When Ma-hal'alel had lived sixty-five years, he became the father of Jared. | וַיְחִי מַהֲלַלְאֵל חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־יָרֶד׃ |

| 16 | καὶ ἔζησεν Μαλελεηλ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ιαρεδ ἑπτακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας. |
And Maleleel lived after his begetting Jared, seven hundred and thirty years, and he begot sons and daughters. | | Ma-hal'alel lived after the birth of Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and had other sons and daughters. | וַיְחִי מַהֲלַלְאֵל אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־יֶרֶד שְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

| 17 | καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Μαλελεηλ ὀκτακόσια καὶ ἐνενήκοντα πέντε ἔτη, καὶ ἀπέθανεν. |
And all the days of Maleleel were eight hundred and ninety and five years, and he died. | | Thus all the days of Ma-hal'alel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died. | וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי מַהֲלַלְאֵל חָמֵשׁ וְתִשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס |

| 18 | Καὶ ἔζησεν Ιαρεδ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα δύο ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ενωχ. |
And Jared lived an hundred and sixty and two years, and begot Enoch: | | When Jared had lived a hundred and sixty-two years he became the father of Enoch. | וַיְחִי־יֶרֶד שְׁתַּיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־חֲנֹוךְ׃ |

| 19 | καὶ ἔζησεν Ιαρεδ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ενωχ ὀκτακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας. |
and Jared lived after his begetting Enoch, eight hundred years, and he begot sons and daughters. | | Jared lived after the birth of Enoch eight hundred years, and had other sons and daughters. | וַיְחִי־יֶרֶד אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־חֲנֹוךְ שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

| 20 | καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ιαρεδ ἐννακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα δύο ἔτη, καὶ ἀπέθανεν. |
And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty and two years, and he died. | | Thus all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died. | וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי־יֶרֶד שְׁתַּיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ף |

| 21 | Καὶ ἔζησεν Ενωχ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μαθουσαλα. |
And Enoch lived an hundred and sixty and five years, and begat Mathusala. | | When Enoch had lived sixty-five years, he became the father of Methu'selah. | וַיְחִי חֲנֹוךְ חָמֵשׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־מְתוּשָׁלַח׃ |

| 22 | εὐηρέστησεν δὲ Ενωχ τῷ θεῷ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Μαθουσαλα διακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας. |
And Enoch was well-pleasing to God after his begetting Mathusala, two hundred years, and he begot sons and daughters. | | Enoch walked with God after the birth of Methu'selah three hundred years, and had other sons and daughters. | וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ חֲנֹוךְ אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־מְתוּשֶׁלַח שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

| 23 | καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ενωχ τριακόσια ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη. |
And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty and five years. | | Thus all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. | וַיְהִי כָּל־יְמֵי חֲנֹוךְ חָמֵשׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּשְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה׃ |

| 24 | καὶ εὐηρέστησεν Ενωχ τῷ θεῷ καὶ οὐχ ηὑρίσκετο, ὅτι μετέθηκεν αὐτὸν ὁ θεός. |
And Enoch was well-pleasing to God, and was not found, because God translated him. | | Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. | וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ חֲנֹוךְ אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים וְאֵינֶנּוּ כִּי־לָקַח אֹתֹו אֱלֹהִים׃ ף |

| 25 | Καὶ ἔζησεν Μαθουσαλα ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἑπτὰ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Λαμεχ. |
And Mathusala lived an hundred and sixty and seven years, and begot Lamech. | | When Methu'selah had lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, he became the father of Lamech. | וַיְחִי מְתוּשֶׁלַח שֶׁבַע וּשְׁמֹנִים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־לָמֶךְ׃ |

| 26 | καὶ ἔζησεν Μαθουσαλα μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Λαμεχ ὀκτακόσια δύο ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας. |
And Mathusala lived after his begetting Lamech eight hundred and two years, and begot sons and daughters. | | Methu'selah lived after the birth of Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had other sons and daughters. | וַיְחִי מְתוּשֶׁלַח אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־לֶמֶךְ שְׁתַּיִם וּשְׁמֹונִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

| 27 | καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Μαθουσαλα, ἃς ἔζησεν, ἐννακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἐννέα ἔτη, καὶ ἀπέθανεν. |
And all the days of Mathusala which he lived, were nine hundred and sixty and nine years, and he died. | | Thus all the days of Methu'selah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died. | וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי מְתוּשֶׁלַח תֵּשַׁע וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ף |

| 28 | Καὶ ἔζησεν Λαμεχ ἑκατὸν ὀγδοήκοντα ὀκτὼ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱὸν |
And Lamech lived an hundred and eighty and eight years, and begot a son. | | When Lamech had lived a hundred and eighty-two years, he became the father of a son, | וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְ שְׁתַּיִם וּשְׁמֹנִים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בֵּן׃ |

| 29 | καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Νωε λέγων Οὗτος διαναπαύσει ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ τῶν ἔργων ἡμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν λυπῶν τῶν χειρῶν ἡμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς, ἧς κατηράσατο κύριος ὁ θεός. |
And he called his name Noe, saying, This one will cause us to cease from our works, and from the toils of our hands, and from the earth, which the Lord God has cursed. | | and called his name Noah, saying, "Out of the ground which the LORD has cursed this one shall bring us relief from our work and from the toil of our hands." | וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמֹו נֹחַ לֵאמֹר זֶה יְנַחֲמֵנוּ מִמַּעֲשֵׂנוּ וּמֵעִצְּבֹון יָדֵינוּ מִן־הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר אֵרְרָהּ יְהוָה׃ |

| 30 | καὶ ἔζησεν Λαμεχ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Νωε πεντακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας. |
And Lamech lived after his begetting Noe, five hundred and sixty and five years, and begot sons and daughters. | | Lamech lived after the birth of Noah five hundred and ninety-five years, and had other sons and daughters. | וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְ אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־נֹחַ חָמֵשׁ וְתִשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
30 |
| 31 | καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Λαμεχ ἑπτακόσια καὶ πεντήκοντα τρία ἔτη, καὶ ἀπέθανεν. |
And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and fifty-three years, and he died. | | Thus all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died. | וַיְהִי כָּל־יְמֵי־לֶמֶךְ שֶׁבַע וְשִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס |
