New English Bible (New Testament) Passage New Testament in Greek (UBS.Ed.26)

Meanwhile Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard when a serving-maid accosted him and said, "You were there too with Jesus the Galilean.'Peter's Denial of Jesus Mt.26.69-75 (Jerusalem) | Mk.14.66-72 | Lk.22.56-62 | Jn.18.15-18 | Jn.18.25-27Ὁ δὲ Πέτρος ἐκάθητο ἐξω ἐν τῇ αὐλῇ· καὶ προσῆλθεν αὐτῷ μία παιδίσκη λέγουσα, Καὶ σὺ ἦσθα μετὰ Ἰησοῦ τοῦ Γαλιλαίου.
Peter denied it in face of them all. 'I do not know what you mean', he said.
He then went out to the gateway, where another girl, seeing him, said to the people there, 'This fellow was with Jesus of Nazareth.'
Once again he denied it, saying with an oath, 'I do not know the man.'
Shortly afterwards the bystanders came up and said to Peter, 'Surely you are another of them; your accent gives you away!'
At this he broke into curses and declared with an oath: 'I do not know the man.' At that moment the cock crew.
And Peter remembered how Jesus had said, 'Before the cock crows you will disown me three times.' He went outside, and wept bitterly.
