1 Filii Juda: Phares, Hesron, et Charmi, et Hur, et Sobal. The sones of Juda weren Phares, and Esrom, and Carmy, and Hur, and Sobal. The sons of Juda: Phares, Hesron, and Charmi, and Hur, and Sobal.  
2 Raia vero filius Sobal genuit Jahath, de quo nati sunt Ahumai, et Laad: hæ cognationes Sarathi. Forsothe Reaia, the sone of Sobal, gendride Geth; of whom weren borun Achymai, and Laed. These weren the kynredis of Sarathi. And Raia the son of Sobal beget Jahath, of whom were born Ahumai, and Laad. These are the families of Sarathi.  
3 Ista quoque stirpes Etam: Jezrahel, et Jesema, et Jedebos. Nomen quoque sororis eorum, Asalelphuni. And this is the generacioun of Ethan; Jesrael, Jezema, and Jedebos; and the name of the sistir of hem was Asaelphumy. And this is the posterity of Etam: Jezrahel, and Jesema, and Jedebos: and the name of their sister was Asalelphuni.  
4 Phanuel autem pater Gedor, et Ezer pater Hosa: isti sunt filii Hur primogeniti Ephratha patris Bethlehem. Sotheli Phunyel was the fadir of Gedor, and Ezer was the fadir of Osa; these ben the sones of Hur, the firste gendrid sone of Effrata, the fadir of Bethleem. And Phanuel the father of Gedor, and Ezar the father of Hosa, these are the sons of Hur the firstborn of Ephratha the father of Bethlehem.  
5 Assur vero patri Thecuæ erant duæ uxores, Halaa et Naara. Sotheli Assur, the fadir of Thecue, hadde twei wyues, Haala, and Naara; And Assur the father of Thecua had two wives, Halaa and Naara:  
6 Peperit autem ei Naara, Oozam, et Hepher, et Themani, et Ahasthari: isti sunt filii Naara. forsothe Naara childide to hym Oozam, and Epher, and Theman, and Aschari; these ben the sones of Naara. And Naara bore him Ozam, and Hepher, and Themani, and Ahasthari: these are the sons of Naara.  
7 Porro filii Halaa, Sereth, Isaar et Ethnan. Forsothe the sones of Haala weren Sereth, Isaar, and Ethan. And the sons of Halaa, Sereth, Isaar, and Ethnan.  
8 Cos autem genuit Anob, et Soboba, et cognationem Aharehel filii Arum. Forsothe Chus gendride Anob, and Sobala, and the kynredis of Arab, sone of Arym. And Cos begot Anob, and Soboba, the kindred of Aharehel the son of Arum.  
9 Fuit autem Jabes inclytus præ fratribus suis, et mater ejus vocavit nomen illius Jabes, dicens: Quia peperi eum in dolore. Forsothe Jabes was noble byfor alle hise britheren; and his modir clepide his name Jabes, and seide, For Y childide hym in sorewe. And Jabes was more honourable than any of his brethren, and his mother called his name Jabes, saying: Because I bore him with sorrow.  
10 Invocavit vero Jabes Deum Israël, dicens: Si benedicens benedixeris mihi, et dilataveris terminos meos, et fuerit manus tua mecum, et feceris me a malitia non opprimi. Et præstitit Deus quæ precatus est. Sotheli Jabes clepide inwardli God of Israel, and seide, Yf thou blessynge schal blesse me, and schalt alarge my termes, and if thin hond schal be with me, and thou schalt make me to be not oppressid of malice. And God yaf to hym that thing, that he preiede. And Jabes called upon the God of Israel, saying: If blessing thou wilt bless me, and wilt enlarge my borders, and thy hand be with me, and thou save me from being oppressed by evil. And God granted him the things he prayed for.  
11 Caleb autem frater Sua genuit Mahir, qui fuit pater Esthon. Forsothe Caleph, the brother of Sua, gendride Machir, that was the fadir of Eston; And Caleb the brother of Sua beget Mahir, who was the father of Esthon. Generation - Caleb onwards. 1Chr.4.11-20
12 Porro Esthon genuit Bethrapha, et Phesse, et Tehinna patrem urbis Naas: hi sunt viri Recha. sotheli Eston gendride Beth, Rapha, and Phese, and Thena, the fadir of the citee Naas. These ben the sones of Recha. And Esthon beget Bethrapha, and Phesse, and Tehinna father of the city of Naas: these are the men of Recha.  
13 Filii autem Cenez, Othoniel, et Saraia. Porro filii Othoniel, Hathath, et Maonathi. Forsothe the sones of Cenez weren Othonyel, and Saraia. And the sons of Cenez were Othoniel,. and Saraia. And the sons of Othoniel, Hathath, and Maonathi.  
14 Maonathi genuit Ophra, Saraia autem genuit Joab patrem Vallis artificum: ibi quippe artifices erant. Sotheli the sones of Othonyel weren Athiath, and Maonaththa, that gendride Opham. Forsothe Saraia gendride Joab, the fadir of the valey of crafti men; for there weren crafti men. Maonathi beget Ophra, and Saraia begot Joab the father of the Valley of artificers: for artificers were there.  
15 Filii vero Caleb filii Jephone, Hir, et Ela, et Naham. Filii quoque Ela: Cenez. Sotheli the sones of Caleph, sone of Jephone, weren Hyn, and Helam, and Nahemi. And the sones of Helam weren Cenez. And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephone, were Hir, and Ela, and Naham. And the sons of Ela: Cenez.  
16 Filii quoque Jaleleel: Ziph, et Zipha, Thiria, et Asraël. Also the sones of Jaleel weren Zeph, and Zipha, Tiria, and Asrael. The sons also of Jaleleel: Ziph, and Zipha, Thiria, and Asrael.  
17 Et filii Ezra, Jether, et Mered, et Epher, et Jalon, genuitque Mariam, et Sammai, et Jesba patrem Esthamo. And the sones of Esra weren Chether, and Merid, and Epher, and Jalon; and he gendride Marie, and Semmai, and Jesba, the fadir of Eschamo. And the sons of Esra, Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon, and he beget Mariam, and Sammai, and Jesba the father of Esthamo.  
18 Uxor quoque ejus Judaia, peperit Jared patrem Gedor, et Heber patrem Socho, et Icuthiel patrem Zanoë: hi autem filii Bethiæ filiæ Pharaonis, quam accepit Mered. Also Judaia, hys wijf, childide Jared, the fadir of Gedor; and Heber, the fadir of Zocho; and Hieutihel, the fadir of Janon. Sotheli these weren the sones of Bethie, the douyter of Pharao, whom Mered took to wijf. And his wife Judaia, bore Jared the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Icuthiel the father of Zanoe. And these are the sons of Bethia the daughter of Pharao, whom Mered took to wife.  
19 Et filii uxoris Odaiæ sororis Naham patris Ceila, Garmi, et Esthamo, qui fuit de Machathi. And the sones of the wijf of Odoie, sister of Nathan, fadir of Ceila, weren Garmy, and Escamo, that was of Machati. And the sons of his wife Odaia the sister of Naham the father of Celia, Garmi, and Esthamo, who was of Machathi.  
20 Filii quoque Simon, Amnon, et Rinna filius Hanan, et Thilon. Et filii Jesi, Zoheth, et Benzoheth. Also the sones of Symeon weren Amon and Rena; the sone of Anam was Chilon; and the sones of Gesi weren Zoeth, and Benzoeth. The sons also of Simon, Amnon, and Rinna the son of Hanan, and Thilon. And the sons of Jesi Zoheth, and Benzoheth.  
21 Filii Sela, filii Juda: Her pater Lecha, et Laada pater Maresa, et cognationes domus operantium byssum in Domo juramenti. The sones of Cela, sone of Juda, weren Her, the fadir of Lecha, and Laada, the fadir of Marasa; and these weren the kynredis of the hows of men worchynge biys in the hows of an ooth, The sons of h Sela the son of Juda: Her the father of Lecha, and Laada the father of Maresa, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen in the House of oath. Generations - Shelah. 1Chr.4.21-23
22 Et qui stare fecit solem, virique Mendacii, et Securus, et Incendens, qui principes fuerunt in Moab, et qui reversi sunt in Lahem: hæc autem verba vetera. and which made the sunne to stonde, and the men of leesyng, sikir, and goynge, that weren princes in Moab, and that turneden ayen in to Bethleem; forsothe these ben elde wordis. 23 Hi sunt figuli habitantes in plantationibus, et in sepibus, apud regem in operibus ejus, commoratique sunt ibi. These ben potteris dwellinge in plauntyngis, and in heggis, anentis kyngis in her werkis; and thei dwelliden there. These are the potters, and they dwelt in Plantations, and Hedges, with the king for his works, and they abode there.  
24 Filii Simeon: Namuel et Jamin, Jarib, Zara, Saul. The sones of Symeon weren Namyhel, and Jamyn, Jarib, Zara, Saul. The sons of Simeon: Namuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zara, Saul: Generations - Simeon. 1Chr.4.24-43
25 Sellum filius ejus, Mapsam filius ejus, Masma filius ejus. Sellum was his sone; Mapsan was his sone; Masma was his sone. Sellum his son, Mapsam his son, Masma his son.  
26 Filii Masma: Hamuel filius ejus, Zachur filius ejus, Semei filius ejus. The sones of Masma; Amuel, his sone; and Zaccur, his sone; Semey, his sone. The sons of Masma: Hamuel his son, Zachur his son, Semei his son.  
27 Filii Semei sedecim, et filiæ sex: fratres autem ejus non habuerunt filios multos, et universa cognatio non potuit adæquare summam filiorum Juda. The sones of Semey weren sixtene, and sixe douytris; sotheli hise britheren hadden not many sones, and al the kynrede myyte not be euene to the summe of the sones of Juda. The sons of Semei were sixteen, and six daughters: but his brethren had not many sons, and the whole kindred could not reach to the sum of the children of Juda.  
28 Habitaverunt autem in Bersabee, et Molada, et Hasarsuhal, Forsothe thei dwelliden in Bersabee, and in Molada, and in Asarsual, And they dwelt in Bersabee, and Molada, and Hasarsuhal,  
29 et in Bala, et in Asom, et in Tholad, and in Balaa, and in Aason, and in Tholat, And in Bala, and in Asom, and in Tholad,  
30 et in Bathuel, et in Horma, et in Siceleg, and in Bathuel, and in Horma, And in Bathuel, and in Horma, and in Siceleg,  
31 et in Bethmarchaboth, et in Hasarsusim, et in Bethberai, et in Saarim: hæ civitates eorum usque ad regem David. and in Sicheloch, and in Betmarchaboth, and in Archasusym, and in Bethbaray, and in Saarym; these weren the citees of hem, til to the kyng Dauid. And in Bethmarchaboth, and in Hasarsusim, and in Bethberai, and in Saarim. These were their cities unto the reign of David.  
32 Villæ quoque eorum: Etam, et Aën, Remmon, et Thochen, et Asan, civitates quinque. Also the townes of hem weren Ethan, and Aen, and Remmon, and Techen, and Asan; fyue citees. Their towns also were Etam, and Aen, Remmon, and Thochen, and Asan, five cities.  
33 Et universi vinculi eorum per circuitum civitatum istarum usque ad Baal: hæc est habitatio eorum, et sedium distributio. And alle the vilagis of hem bi the cumpas of these citees, til to Baal; this is the dwellyng of hem, and the departyng of seetis. And all their villages round about these cities as far as Baal. This was their habitation, and the distribution of their dwellings.  
34 Mosobab quoque et Jemlech, et Josa filius Amasiæ, Also Mosobaly, and Jemlech, and Josa, the sone of Amasie, And Mosabab and Jemlech, and Josa, the son of Amasias,  
35 et Joël, et Jehu filius Josabiæ filii Saraiæ filii Asiel, and Johel, and Jehu, the sone of Josabie, and the sones of Saraie, the sones of Asiel, And Joel, and Jehu the son of Josabia the son of Saraia, the son of Asiel,  
36 et Elioënai, et Jacoba, et Isuhaia, et Asaia, et Adiel, et Ismiel, et Banaia, and Helioneai, and Jacoba, and Sucua, and Asaia, and Adihel, and Hisemeel, and Banaia; And Elioenai, and Jacoba, and Isuhaia, and Asaia, and Adiel, and Ismiel, and Banaia,  
37 Ziza quoque filius Sephei filii Allon filii Idaia filii Semri filii Samaia. and Ziza, the sone of Sephei, the sone of Allon, sone of Abdaia, sone of Semry, sone of Samaia. Ziza also the son of Sephei the son of Allon the son of Idaia the son of Semri the son of Samaia.  
38 Isti sunt nominati principes in cognationibus suis, et in domo affinitatum suarum multiplicati sunt vehementer. These ben princis nemyd in her kynredis, and ben multiplied greetli in the hows of her alies. These were named princes in their kindreds, and in the houses of their families were multiplied exceedingly.  
39 Et profecti sunt ut ingrederentur in Gador usque ad orientem vallis, et ut quærerent pascua gregibus suis. And thei yeden forth to entre in to Gador, til to the eest of the valei, and to seke pasturis to her scheep. And they went forth to enter into Gador as far as to the east side of the valley, to seek pastures for their flocks.  
40 Inveneruntque pascuas uberes, et valde bonas, et terram latissimam et quietam et fertilem, in qua ante habitaverant de stirpe Cham. And thei fonden pasturis ful plenteuouse, and ful goode, and a ful large lond, and restful, and plenteuouse, wherynne men of the generacioun of Cham hadden dwellid bifore. And they found fat pastures, and very good, and a country spacious, and quiet, and fruitful, in which some of the race of Cham had dwelt before.  
41 Hi ergo venerunt, quos supra descripsimus nominatim, in diebus Ezechiæ regis Juda: et percusserunt tabernacula eorum, et habitatores qui inventi fuerant ibi, et deleverunt eos usque in præsentem diem: habitaveruntque pro eis, quoniam uberrimas pascuas ibidem repererunt. Therfor these men, whiche we discryueden bifore bi name, camen in the daies of Ezechie, kyng of Juda; and smytiden the tabernaclis of hem, and the dwelleris that weren foundun there; and thei diden awei hem til in to present dai; and thei dwelliden for hem, for thei founden there ful plenteuouse pasturis. And these whose names are written above, came in the days of Ezechias king of Juda: and they beat down their tents, and slew the inhabitants that were found there, and utterly destroyed them unto this day: and they dwelt in their place, because they found there fat pastures.  
42 De filiis quoque Simeon abierunt in montem Seir viri quingenti, habentes principes Phalthiam et Naariam et Raphaiam et Oziel filios Jesi: Also fyue hundrid men of the sones of Symeon yeden in to the hil of Seir, and thei hadden princes Faltias, and Narias, and Raphaias, and Oziel, the sones of Jesi; Some also of the children of Simeon, five hundred men, went into mount Seir, having for their captains Phaltias and Naaria and Raphaia and Oziel the sons of Jesi:  
43 et percusserunt reliquias, quæ evadere potuerant, Amalecitarum, et habitaverunt ibi pro eis usque ad diem hanc. and thei smytiden the relifs of Amalechites, that myyten ascape; and thei dwelliden there for hem til to this day. And they slew the remnant of the Amalecites, who had been able to escape, and they dwelt there in their stead unto this day.
