17Vixit autem Amasias filius Joas rex Juda postquam mortuus est Joas filius Joachaz regis Israël, quindecim annis. Forsothe Amasie, sone of Joas, kyng of Juda, lyuede fyue and twenti yeer, after that Joas, sone of Joachaz, kyng of Israel, was deed. And Amasias the son of Joas king of Juda lived, after the death of Joas son of Joachaz king of Israel fifteen years. Death of Amaziah. 2Kgs.14.17-22 | 2Chr.25.25-28
18Reliqua autem sermonum Amasiæ, nonne hæc scripta sunt in libro sermonum dierum regum Juda? Forsothe the residue of wordis of Amasie, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Juda? And the rest of the acts of Amasias, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda?  
19Factaque est contra eum conjuratio in Jerusalem: at ille fugit in Lachis. Miseruntque post eum in Lachis, et interfecerunt eum ibi: And sweryng togidir in Jerusalem was maad ayens hym, and he fledde in to Lachis; and thei senten aftir hym in to Lachis, and killiden hym there. Now they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem: and he fled to Lachis. And they sent after him to Lachis, and killed him there.  
20et asportaverunt in equis, sepultusque est in Jerusalem cum patribus suis in civitate David. And thei baren out hym in horsis, and he was biried in Jerusalem with hise fadris, in the citee of Dauid. And they brought him away upon horses, and he was buried in Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.  
21Tulit autem universus populus Judæ Azariam annos natum sedecim, et constituerunt eum regem pro patre ejus Amasia. Forsothe al the puple of Juda took Azarie, hauynge sixtene yeer; and maden hym king for his fadir Amasie. And all the people of Juda took Azarias, who was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amasias.  
22Ipse ædificavit Ælath, et restituit eam Judæ, postquam dormivit rex cum patribus suis. And he bildide Ahila, and restoride it to Juda, after that the kyng slepte with hise fadris. He built Elath, and restored it to Juda, after that the king slept with his fathers.
