his careyn schal not dwelle in the tre, but it schal be biried in the same dai; for he that hangith in the cros is cursid of God, and thou schalt not defoule thi lond which thi Lord God yaf thee in to possessioun. |
His body shall not remain upon the tree, but shall be buried the same day: for he is accursed of God that hangeth on a tree: and thou shalt not defile thy land, which the Lord thy God shall give thee in possession. | |

Thou schalt not se thi brotheris oxe, ethir scheep, errynge, and schalt passe, but thou schalt brynge ayen to thi brother. |
Thou shalt not pass by if thou seest thy brother's ox, or his sheep go astray: but thou shalt bring them back to thy brother. | |
| 2 | etiamsi non est propinquus frater tuus, nec nosti eum: duces in domum tuam, et erunt apud te quamdiu quærat ea frater tuus, et recipiat. |
And if thi brother is not nyy, nether thou knowist hym, thou schalt lede tho beestis in to thin hows, and tho schulen be at thee, as long as thi brother sekith tho, and til he resseyue hem. |
And if thy brother be not nigh, or thou know him not: thou shalt bring them to thy house, and they shall be with thee until thy brother seek them, and receive them. | |
| 3 | Similiter facies de asino, et de vestimento, et de omni re fratris tui, quæ perierit: si inveneris eam, ne negligas quasi alienam. |
In lijk maner thou schalt do of the asse, and clooth, and of ech thing of thi brother, that was lost; if thou fyndist it, be thou not necgligent as of an alien thing. |
Thou shalt do in like manner with his ass, and with his raiment, and with every thing that is thy brother's, which is lost: if thou find it, neglect it not as pertaining to another. | |

If thou seest that the asse, ethir oxe of thi brothir felde in the weye, thou schalt not dispise, but thou schalt reise with hym. |
If thou see thy brother's ass or his ox to be fallen down in the way, thou shalt not slight it, but shalt lift it up with him. | |

A womman schal not be clothid in a mannys clooth, nether a man schal vse a wommannys cloth; for he that doith thes thingis is abhomynable bifor God. If thou goist in the weie, |
A woman shall not be clothed with man's apparel, neither shall a man use woman's apparel : for he that doeth these things is abominable before God. | |
| 6 | Si ambulans per viam, in arbore vel in terra nidum avis inveneris, et matrem pullis vel ovis desuper incubantem: non tenebis eam cum filiis, |
and fyndist a nest of a brid in a tree, ethir in the erthe, and fyndist the modir sittynge on the briddis ethir eyrun, thou schalt not holde the modir with the children, but thou schalt suffre the modir go, |
If thou find as thou walkest by the way, a bird's nest in a tree, or on the ground, and the dam sitting upon the young or upon the eggs: thou shalt not take her with her young: | |
| 7 | sed abire patieris, captos tenens filios: ut bene sit tibi, et longo vivas tempore. |
and schalt holde the sones takun, that it be wel to thee, and thou lyue in long tyme. Whanne thou bildist a newe hows, |
But shalt let her go, keeping the young which thou hast caught: that it may be well with thee, and thou mayst live a long time. | |
| 8 | Cum ædificaveris domum novam, facies murum tecti per circuitum: ne effundatur sanguis in domo tua, et sis reus labente alio, et in præceps ruente. |
thou schalt make a wal of the roof bi cumpas, lest blood be sched out in thin hows, and thou be gilti, if another man slidith, and falle in to a dich. |
When thou buildest a new house, thou shalt make a battlement to the roof round about: lest blood be shed in thy house, and thou be guilty, if any one slip, and fall down headlong. | |
| 9 | Non seres vineam tuam altero semine: ne et sementis quam sevisti, et quæ nascuntur ex vinea, pariter sanctificentur. |
Thou schalt not sowe thi vyner of another seed, lest bothe the seed which thou hast sowe, and tho thingis that comen forth of the vyner, ben halewid togidere. |
Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest both the seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of the vineyard, be sanctified together. | |

Thou schalt not ere with an oxe and asse togidere. |
Thou shalt not plough with an ox and an ass together. | |
| 11 | Non indueris vestimento, quod ex lana linoque contextum est. |
Thou schalt not be clothid in a cloth, which is wouun togidir of wolle and of flex. |
Thou shalt not wear a garment that is woven of woollen and linen together. | |
| 12 | Funiculos in fimbriis facies per quatuor angulos pallii tui, quo operieris. |
Thou schalt make litle cordis bi foure corneris in the hemmys of thi mentil, with which thou art hilid. |
Thou shalt make strings in the hem at the four corners of thy cloak, wherewith thou shalt be covered. | |
