1 | Φωτίζου φωτίζου, Ιερουσαλημ, ἥκει γάρ σου τὸ φῶς, καὶ ἡ δόξα Κυρίου ἐπὶ σὲ ἀνατέταλκεν. | Be enlightened be enlightened O Jerusalem for your light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. | The future glory of Jerusalem. 2 | ἰδοὺ σκότος καὶ γνόφος καλύψει γῆν ἐπ' ἔθνη· ἐπὶ δὲ σὲ φανήσεται κύριος, καὶ ἡ δόξα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ σὲ ὀφθήσεται. | Behold darkness shall cover the earth and [there shall be] gross darkness on the nations: but the Lords shall appear upon you and his glory shall be seen upon you. | For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. | כִּי־הִנֵּה הַחֹשֶׁךְ יְכַסֶּה־אֶרֶץ וַעֲרָפֶל לְאֻמִּים וְעָלַיִךְ יִזְרַח יְהוָה וּכְבֹודֹו עָלַיִךְ יֵרָאֶה׃ |

3 | καὶ πορεύσονται βασιλεῖς τῷ φωτί σου καὶ ἔθνη τῇ λαμπρότητί σου. | And kings shall walk in your light and nations in your brightness. | And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. | וְהָלְכוּ גֹויִם לְאֹורֵךְ וּמְלָכִים לְנֹגַהּ זַרְחֵךְ׃ | 3 | |
4 | ἆρον κύκλῳ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς σου καὶ ἰδὲ συνηγμένα τὰ τέκνα σου· ἰδοὺ ἥκασιν πάντες οἱ υἱοί σου μακρόθεν, καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες σου ἐπ' ὤμων ἀρθήσονται. | Lift up your eyes round about and behold your children gathered: all your sons have come from far and your daughters shall be borne on [men's] shoulders. | Lift up your eyes round about, and see; they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from far, and your daughters shall be carried in the arms. | שְׂאִי־סָבִיב עֵינַיִךְ וּרְאִי כֻּלָּם נִקְבְּצוּ בָאוּ־לָךְ בָּנַיִךְ מֵרָחֹוק יָבֹאוּ וּבְנֹתַיִךְ עַל־צַד תֵּאָמַנָה׃ |

5 | τότε ὄψῃ καὶ φοβηθήσῃ καὶ ἐκστήσῃ τῇ καρδίᾳ, ὅτι μεταβαλεῖ εἰς σὲ πλοῦτος θαλάσσης καὶ ἐθνῶν καὶ λαῶν. καὶ ἥξουσίν σοι | Then shall you see and fear and be amazed in your heart; for the wealth of the sea shall come round to you and of nations and peoples; and herds of camels shall come to you | Then you shall see and be radiant, your heart shall thrill and rejoice; [Heb: be enlarged] because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you. | אָז תִּרְאִי וְנָהַרְתְּ וּפָחַד וְרָחַב לְבָבֵךְ כִּי־יֵהָפֵךְ עָלַיִךְ הֲמֹון יָם חֵיל גֹּויִם יָבֹאוּ לָךְ׃ |

6 | ἀγέλαι καμήλων, καὶ καλύψουσίν σε κάμηλοι Μαδιαμ καὶ Γαιφα· πάντες ἐκ Σαβα ἥξουσιν φέροντες χρυσίον καὶ λίβανον οἴσουσιν καὶ τὸ σωτήριον κυρίου εὐαγγελιοῦνται. | and the camels of Madiam and Gaepha shall cover you: all from Saba shall come bearing gold and shall bring frankincense and they shall publish the salvation of the Lord. | A multitude of camels shall cover you, the young camels of Mid'ian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come. They shall bring gold and frankincense, and shall proclaim the praise of the LORD. | שִׁפְעַת גְּמַלִּים תְּכַסֵּךְ בִּכְרֵי מִדְיָן וְעֵיפָה כֻּלָּם מִשְּׁבָא יָבֹאוּ זָהָב וּלְבֹונָה יִשָּׂאוּ וּתְהִלֹּת יְהוָה יְבַשֵּׂרוּ׃ |

7 | καὶ πάντα τὰ πρόβατα Κηδαρ συναχθήσονταί σοι, καὶ κριοὶ Ναβαιωθ ἥξουσίν σοι, καὶ ἀνενεχθήσεται δεκτὰ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριόν μου, καὶ ὁ οἶκος τῆς προσευχῆς μου δοξασθήσεται. | And all the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered and the rams of Nabaeoth shall come; and acceptable sacrifices shall be offered on my altar and my house of prayer shall be glorified. | All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered to you, the rams of Nebai'oth shall minister to you; they shall come up with acceptance on my altar, and I will glorify my glorious house. | כָּל־צֹאן קֵדָר יִקָּבְצוּ לָךְ אֵילֵי נְבָיֹות יְשָׁרְתוּנֶךְ יַעֲלוּ עַל־רָצֹון מִזְבְּחִי וּבֵית תִּפְאַרְתִּי אֲפָאֵר׃ |

8 | τίνες οἵδε ὡς νεφέλαι πέτανται καὶ ὡς περιστεραὶ σὺν νεοσσοῖς; | Who are these [that] fly as clouds and as doves with young ones to me? | Who are these that fly like a cloud, and like doves to their windows? | מִי־אֵלֶּה כָּעָב תְּעוּפֶינָה וְכַיֹּונִים אֶל־אֲרֻבֹּתֵיהֶם׃ | 8 | |
9 | ἐμὲ νῆσοι ὑπέμειναν καὶ πλοῖα Θαρσις ἐν πρώτοις, ἀγαγεῖν τὰ τέκνα σου μακρόθεν καὶ τὸν ἄργυρον καὶ τὸν χρυσὸν μετ' αὐτῶν διὰ τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου τὸ ἅγιον καὶ διὰ τὸ τὸν ἅγιον τοῦ Ισραηλ ἔνδοξον εἶναι. | The isles have waited for me and the ships of Tharsis among the first to bring your children from afar and their silver and their gold with them and [that] for the sake of the holy name of the Lord | For the coastlands shall wait for me, the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and gold with them, for the name of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you. | כִּי־לִי אִיִּים יְקַוּוּ וָאֳנִיֹּות תַּרְשִׁישׁ בָּרִאשֹׁנָה לְהָבִיא בָנַיִךְ מֵרָחֹוק כַּסְפָּם וּזְהָבָם אִתָּם לְשֵׁם יְהוָה אֱלֹהַיִךְ וְלִקְדֹושׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי פֵאֲרָךְ׃ |
9 | |
10 | καὶ οἰκοδομήσουσιν ἀλλογενεῖς τὰ τείχη σου, καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν παραστήσονταί σοι· διὰ γὰρ ὀργήν μου ἐπάταξά σε καὶ διὰ ἔλεον ἠγάπησά σε. | And strangers shall build your walls and their kings shall wait upon you: for by reason of my wrath I smote you and by reason of mercy I loved you. | Foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you; for in my wrath I smote you, but in my favor I have had mercy on you. | וּבָנוּ בְנֵי־נֵכָר חֹמֹתַיִךְ וּמַלְכֵיהֶם יְשָׁרְתוּנֶךְ כִּי בְקִצְפִּי הִכִּיתִיךְ וּבִרְצֹונִי רִחַמְתִּיךְ׃ |
10 | |
11 | καὶ ἀνοιχθήσονται αἱ πύλαι σου διὰ παντός, ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς οὐ κλεισθήσονται, εἰσαγαγεῖν πρὸς σὲ δύναμιν ἐθνῶν καὶ βασιλεῖς ἀγομένους. | And your gates shall be opened continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; to bring in to you the power of the Gentiles and their kings as captives. | Your gates shall be open continually; day and night they shall not be shut; that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, with their kings led in procession. | וּפִתְּחוּ שְׁעָרַיִךְ תָּמִיד יֹוםָם וָלַיְלָה לֹא יִסָּגֵרוּ לְהָבִיא אֵלַיִךְ חֵיל גֹּויִם וּמַלְכֵיהֶם נְהוּגִים׃ |
11 | |
12 | τὰ γὰρ ἔθνη καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς, οἵτινες οὐ δουλεύσουσίν σοι, ἀπολοῦνται, καὶ τὰ ἔθνη ἐρημίᾳ ἐρημωθήσονται. | For the nations and the kings which will not serve you shall perish; and those nations shall be made utterly desolate. | For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; those nations shall be utterly laid waste. | כִּי־הַגֹּוי וְהַמַּמְלָכָה אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יַעַבְדוּךְ יֹאבֵדוּ וְהַגֹּויִם חָרֹב יֶחֱרָבוּ׃ | 12 | |
13 | καὶ ἡ δόξα τοῦ Λιβάνου πρὸς σὲ ἥξει ἐν κυπαρίσσῳ καὶ πεύκῃ καὶ κέδρῳ ἅμα, δοξάσαι τὸν τόπον τὸν ἅγιόν μου. | And the glory of Libanus shall come to you with the cypress and pine and cedar together to glorify my holy place. | The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the cypress, the plane, and the pine, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. | כְּבֹוד הַלְּבָנֹון אֵלַיִךְ יָבֹוא בְּרֹושׁ תִּדְהָר וּתְאַשּׁוּר יַחְדָּו לְפָאֵר מְקֹום מִקְדָּשִׁי וּמְקֹום רַגְלַי אֲכַבֵּד׃ |
13 | |
14 | καὶ πορεύσονται πρὸς σὲ δεδοικότες υἱοὶ ταπεινωσάντων σε καὶ παροξυνάντων σε, καὶ κληθήσῃ Πόλις κυρίου Σιων ἁγίου Ισραηλ. | And the sons of them that afflicted you and of them that provoked you shall come to you in fear; and you shall be called Sion the city of the Holy One of Israel. | The sons of those who oppressed you shall come bending low to you; and all who despised you shall bow down at your feet; they shall call you the City of the LORD, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel. | וְהָלְכוּ אֵלַיִךְ שְׁחֹוחַ בְּנֵי מְעַנַּיִךְ וְהִשְׁתַּחֲווּ עַל־כַּפֹּות רַגְלַיִךְ כָּל־מְנַאֲצָיִךְ וְקָרְאוּ לָךְ עִיר יְהוָה צִיֹּון קְדֹושׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
14 | |
15 | διὰ τὸ γεγενῆσθαί σε ἐγκαταλελειμμένην καὶ μεμισημένην καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ βοηθῶν, καὶ θήσω σε ἀγαλλίαμα αἰώνιον, εὐφροσύνην γενεῶν γενεαῖς. | Because you has become desolate and hated and there was no helper therefore I will make you a perpetual gladness a joy of many generations. | Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, with no one passing through, I will make you majestic for ever, a joy from age to age. | תַּחַת הֱיֹותֵךְ עֲזוּבָה וּשְׂנוּאָה וְאֵין עֹובֵר וְשַׂמְתִּיךְ לִגְאֹון עֹולָם מְשֹׂושׂ דֹּור וָדֹור׃ |
15 | |
16 | καὶ θηλάσεις γάλα ἐθνῶν καὶ πλοῦτον βασιλέων φάγεσαι· καὶ γνώσῃ ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ σῴζων σε καὶ ἐξαιρούμενός σε θεὸς Ισραηλ. | And you shall suck the milk of the Gentiles and shall eat the wealth of kings: and shall know that I am the Lord that saves you and delivers you the Holy One of Israel. | You shall suck the milk of nations, you shall suck the breast of kings; and you shall know that I, the LORD, am your Saviour and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. | וְיָנַקְתְּ חֲלֵב גֹּויִם וְשֹׁד מְלָכִים תִּינָקִי וְיָדַעַתְּ כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה מֹושִׁיעֵךְ וְגֹאֲלֵךְ אֲבִיר יַעֲקֹב׃ |
16 | |
17 | καὶ ἀντὶ χαλκοῦ οἴσω σοι χρυσίον, ἀντὶ δὲ σιδήρου οἴσω σοι ἀργύριον, ἀντὶ δὲ ξύλων οἴσω σοι χαλκόν, ἀντὶ δὲ λίθων σίδηρον. καὶ δώσω τοὺς ἄρχοντάς σου ἐν εἰρήνῃ καὶ τοὺς ἐπισκόπους σου ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ· | And for brass I will bring you gold and for iron I will bring you silver and instead of wood I will bring you brass and instead of stones iron; and I will make your princes peaceable | Instead of bronze I will bring gold, and instead of iron I will bring silver; instead of wood, bronze, instead of stones, iron. I will make your overseers peace and your taskmasters righteousness. | תַּחַת הַנְּחֹשֶׁת אָבִיא זָהָב וְתַחַת הַבַּרְזֶל אָבִיא כֶסֶף וְתַחַת הָעֵצִים נְחֹשֶׁת וְתַחַת הָאֲבָנִים בַּרְזֶל וְשַׂמְתִּי פְקֻדָּתֵךְ שָׁלֹום וְנֹגְשַׂיִךְ צְדָקָה׃ |
17 | |
18 | καὶ οὐκ ἀκουσθήσεται ἔτι ἀδικία ἐν τῇ γῇ σου οὐδὲ σύντριμμα οὐδὲ ταλαιπωρία ἐν τοῖς ὁρίοις σου, ἀλλὰ κληθήσεται Σωτήριον τὰ τείχη σου, καὶ αἱ πύλαι σου Γλύμμα. | And injustice shall no more be heard in your land nor destruction nor misery in your coasts; but your walls shall be called Salvation and your gates Sculptured Work. | Violence shall no more be heard in your land, devastation or destruction within your borders; you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise. | לֹא־יִשָּׁמַע עֹוד חָמָס בְּאַרְצֵךְ שֹׁד וָשֶׁבֶר בִּגְבוּלָיִךְ וְקָרָאת יְשׁוּעָה חֹומֹתַיִךְ וּשְׁעָרַיִךְ תְּהִלָּה׃ |
18 | |
19 | καὶ οὐκ ἔσται σοι ὁ ἥλιος εἰς φῶς ἡμέρας, οὐδὲ ἀνατολὴ σελήνης φωτιεῖ σοι τὴν νύκτα, ἀλλ' ἔσται σοι κύριος φῶς αἰώνιον καὶ ὁ θεὸς δόξα σου. | And you shall no more have the sun for a light by day nor shall the rising of the moon lighten your night; but the Lord shall be your everlasting light and God your glory. | The sun shall be no more your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you by night; [One ancient Ms Gk Old Latin Tg: Heb lacks: by night] but the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. | לֹא־יִהְיֶה־לָּךְ עֹוד הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ לְאֹור יֹוםָם וּלְנֹגַהּ הַיָּרֵחַ לֹא־יָאִיר לָךְ וְהָיָה־לָךְ יְהוָה לְאֹור עֹולָם וֵאלֹהַיִךְ לְתִפְאַרְתֵּךְ׃ |

20 | οὐ γὰρ δύσεται ὁ ἥλιός σοι, καὶ ἡ σελήνη σοι οὐκ ἐκλείψει· ἔσται γὰρ κύριός σοι φῶς αἰώνιον, καὶ ἀναπληρωθήσονται αἱ ἡμέραι τοῦ πένθους σου. | For the sun shall no more set nor shall the moon be eclipsed; for the Lord shall be your everlasting light and the days of your mourning shall be completed. | Your sun shall no more go down, nor your moon withdraw itself; for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of mourning shall be ended. | לֹא־יָבֹוא עֹוד שִׁמְשֵׁךְ וִירֵחֵךְ לֹא יֵאָסֵף כִּי יְהוָה יִהְיֶה־לָּךְ לְאֹור עֹולָם וְשָׁלְמוּ יְמֵי אֶבְלֵךְ׃ |

21 | καὶ ὁ λαός σου πᾶς δίκαιος, καὶ δι' αἰῶνος κληρονομήσουσιν τὴν γῆν, φυλάσσων τὸ φύτευμα, ἔργα χειρῶν αὐτοῦ εἰς δόξαν. | Your people also shall be all righteous; they shall inherit the land for ever preserving that which they have planted [even] the works of their hands for glory. | Your people shall all be righteous; they shall possess the land for ever, the shoot of my planting, the work of my hands, that I might be glorified. | וְעַמֵּךְ כֻּלָּם צַדִּיקִים לְעֹולָם יִירְשׁוּ אָרֶץ נֵצֶר {כ= מַטָּעֹו} {ק= מַטָּעַי} מַעֲשֵׂה יָדַי לְהִתְפָּאֵר׃ |

22 | ὁ ὀλιγοστὸς ἔσται εἰς χιλιάδας καὶ ὁ ἐλάχιστος εἰς ἔθνος μέγα· ἐγὼ κύριος κατὰ καιρὸν συνάξω αὐτούς. | The little one shall become thousands and the least a great nation; I the Lord will gather them in [due] time. | The least one shall become a clan, and the smallest one a mighty nation; I am the LORD; in its time I will hasten it. | הַקָּטֹן יִהְיֶה לָאֶלֶף וְהַצָּעִיר לְגֹוי עָצוּם אֲנִי יְהוָה בְּעִתָּהּ אֲחִישֶׁנָּה׃ ס |
