32 1In the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first day of the month, the word of Yahweh came to me: Pharoah - a crocodile. Eze.32.1-16וַיְהִי בִּשְׁתֵּי עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה בִּשְׁנֵי־עָשָׂר חֹדֶשׁ בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ הָיָה דְבַר־יְהוָה אֵלַי לֵאמֹר׃
2"Son of man, raise a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him:

"You consider yourself a lion among the nations,
but you are like a dragon in the seas;
you burst forth in your rivers,
trouble the waters with your feet,
and foul their rivers.

 בֶּן־אָדָם שָׂא קִינָה עַל־פַּרְעֹה מֶלֶךְ־מִצְרַיִם וְאָמַרְתָּ אֵלָיו כְּפִיר גֹּויִם נִדְמֵיתָ

וְאַתָּה כַּתַּנִּים בַּיַּמִּים וַתָּגַח בְּנַהֲרֹותֶיךָ
וַתִּדְלַח־מַיִם בְּרַגְלֶיךָ וַתִּרְפֹּס נַהֲרֹותָם׃

3Thus says the Lord Yahweh:
I will throw my net over you
with a host of many peoples;
and I will haul you up in my dragnet.
 		 כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה

וּפָרַשְׂתִּי עָלֶיךָ אֶת־רִשְׁתִּי בִּקְהַל עַמִּים רַבִּים וְהֶעֱלוּךָ בְּחֶרְמִי׃

4And I will cast you on the ground,
on the open field I will fling you,
and will cause all the birds of the air to settle on you,
and I will gorge the beasts of the whole earth with you.
 		 וּנְטַשְׁתִּיךָ בָאָרֶץ עַל־פְּנֵי הַשָּׂדֶה אֲטִילֶךָ וְהִשְׁכַּנְתִּי עָלֶיךָ כָּל־עֹוף הַשָּׁמַיִם וְהִשְׂבַּעְתִּי מִמְּךָ חַיַּת כָּל־הָאָרֶץ׃
5I will strew your flesh upon the mountains,
and fill the valleys with your carcass.
 		 וְנָתַתִּי אֶת־בְּשָׂרְךָ עַל־הֶהָרִים וּמִלֵּאתִי הַגֵּאָיֹות רָמוּתֶךָ׃
6I will drench the land even to the mountains
with your flowing blood;
and the watercourses will be full of you.
 		 וְהִשְׁקֵיתִי אֶרֶץ צָפָתְךָ מִדָּמְךָ אֶל־הֶהָרִים וַאֲפִקִים יִמָּלְאוּן מִמֶּךָּ׃
7When I blot you out, I will cover the heavens,
and make their stars dark;
I will cover the sun with a cloud,
and the moon shall not give its light.
 וְכִסֵּיתִי בְכַבֹּותְךָ שָׁמַיִם וְהִקְדַּרְתִּי אֶת־כֹּכְבֵיהֶם
שֶׁמֶשׁ בֶּעָןָן אֲכַסֶּנּוּ וְיָרֵחַ לֹא־יָאִיר אֹורֹו׃
8All the bright lights of heaven
will I make dark over you,
and put darkness upon your land,
says the Lord Yahweh. 		 כָּל־מְאֹורֵי אֹור בַּשָּׁמַיִם אַקְדִּירֵם עָלֶיךָ
וְנָתַתִּי חֹשֶׁךְ עַל־אַרְצְךָ נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה׃
9"I will trouble the hearts of many peoples, when I carry you captive among the nations, into the countries which you have not known.  וְהִכְעַסְתִּי לֵב עַמִּים רַבִּים בַּהֲבִיאִי שִׁבְרְךָ בַּגֹּויִם עַל־אֲרָצֹות אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יְדַעְתָּם׃
10I will make many peoples appalled at you, and their kings shall shudder because of you, when I brandish my sword before them; they shall tremble every moment, every one for his own life, on the day of your downfall.  וַהֲשִׁמֹּותִי עָלֶיךָ עַמִּים רַבִּים וּמַלְכֵיהֶם יִשְׂעֲרוּ עָלֶיךָ שַׂעַר בְּעֹופְפִי חַרְבִּי עַל־פְּנֵיהֶם וְחָרְדוּ לִרְגָעִים אִישׁ לְנַפְשֹׁו בְּיֹום מַפַּלְתֶּךָ׃ ס
11For thus says the Lord Yahweh: The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon you.  כִּי כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה חֶרֶב מֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶל תְּבֹואֶךָ׃
12I will cause your multitude to fall by the swords of mighty ones, all of them most terrible among the nations.

"They shall bring to nought the pride of Egypt,
and all its multitude shall perish.

 בְּחַרְבֹות גִּבֹּורִים אַפִּיל הֲמֹונֶךָ עָרִיצֵי גֹויִם כֻּלָּם
וְשָׁדְדוּ אֶת־גְּאֹון מִצְרַיִם וְנִשְׁמַד כָּל־הֲמֹונָהּ׃
13I will destroy all its beasts
from beside many waters;
and no foot of man shall trouble them any more,
nor shall the hoofs of beasts trouble them.
 		 וְהַאֲבַדְתִּי אֶת־כָּל־בְּהֶמְתָּהּ מֵעַל מַיִם רַבִּים
וְלֹא תִדְלָחֵם רֶגֶל־אָדָם עֹוד וּפַרְסֹות בְּהֵמָה לֹא תִדְלָחֵם׃
14Then I will make their waters clear,
and cause their rivers to run like oil,
says the Lord Yahweh.
 		 אָז אַשְׁקִיעַ מֵימֵיהֶם וְנַהֲרֹותָם כַּשֶּׁמֶן אֹולִיךְ נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה׃
15When I make the land of Egypt desolate
and when the land is stripped of all that fills it,
when I smite all who dwell in it,
then they will know that I am Yahweh. 		 בְּתִתִּי אֶת־אֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם שְׁמָמָה וּנְשַׁמָּה אֶרֶץ מִמְּלֹאָהּ
בְּהַכֹּותִי אֶת־כָּל־יֹושְׁבֵי בָהּ וְיָדְעוּ כִּי־אֲנִי יְהוָה׃
16This is a lamentation which shall be chanted; the daughters of the nations shall chant it; over Egypt, and over all her multitude, shall they chant it, says the Lord Yahweh."  קִינָה הִיא וְקֹונְנוּהָ בְּנֹות הַגֹּויִם תְּקֹונֵנָּה אֹותָהּ עַל־מִצְרַיִם וְעַל־כָּל־הֲמֹונָהּ תְּקֹונֵנָּה אֹותָהּ נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה׃ ף

The katapi NEW STUDY BIBLE is a very light revision of the RSV. The changes are: (1) In places where 'the LORD', 'O LORD' occurs in the RSV, (it represents the tetragrammaton - YHWH - which is in the hebrew text), I have used the name 'Yahweh'.
(2) I have removed the quotation marks and hyphens that were used in so many names in the RSV as an aid to correct pronunciation. This now brings it in line with all other English versions, and makes any word-search more accurate.
(3) I have changed all (I hope!) of the RSV archaic language sections to modern.
The katapi New Study Bible reference section displays links to parallel passages, and to direct quotations by New Testament authors to Old Testament passages. Quotations of OT passages by NT authors can in most cases be viewed within their context of the OT passage as a whole, with the quoted text displayed, against a subdued background.
