4	And Jesus answered them, "Take heed that no one leads you astray.		καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, Βλέπετε μή τις ὑμᾶς πλανήσῃ·
5	For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will lead many astray.		πολλοὶ γὰρ ἐλεύσονται ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματί μου λέγοντες, Ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ Χριστός, καὶ πολλοὺς πλανήσουσιν.
6	And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet.		μελλήσετε δὲ ἀκούειν πολέμους καὶ ἀκοὰς πολέμων· ὁρᾶτε, μὴ θροεῖσθε· δεῖ γὰρ γενέσθαι, ἀλλ' οὐπω ἐστὶν τὸ τέλος.
7	For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places:		ἐγερθήσεται γὰρ ἐθνος ἐπὶ ἐθνος καὶ βασιλεία ἐπὶ βασιλείαν, καὶ ἐσονται λιμοὶ καὶ σεισμοὶ κατὰ τόπους·
8	all this is but the beginning of the birth-pangs.		πάντα δὲ ταῦτα ἀρχὴ ὠδίνων.
9	"Then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.		τότε παραδώσουσιν ὑμᾶς εἰς θλῖψιν καὶ ἀποκτενοῦσιν ὑμᾶς, καὶ ἐσεσθε μισούμενοι ὑπὸ πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν διὰ τὸ ὀνομά μου.
10	And then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another.		καὶ τότε σκανδαλισθήσονται πολλοὶ καὶ ἀλλήλους παραδώσουσιν καὶ μισήσουσιν ἀλλήλους·
11	And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.		καὶ πολλοὶ ψευδοπροφῆται ἐγερθήσονται καὶ πλανήσουσιν πολλούς·
12	And because wickedness is multiplied, most men's love will grow cold.		καὶ διὰ τὸ πληθυνθῆναι τὴν ἀνομίαν ψυγήσεται ἡ ἀγάπη τῶν πολλῶν.
13	But he who endures to the end will be saved.		ὁ δὲ ὑπομείνας εἰς τέλος οὗτος σωθήσεται.
14	And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come.		καὶ κηρυχθήσεται τοῦτο τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τῆς βασιλείας ἐν ὁλῃ τῇ οἰκουμένῃ εἰς μαρτύριον πᾶσιν τοῖς ἐθνεσιν, καὶ τότε ἡξει τὸ τέλος.

The katapi NEW STUDY BIBLE is a very light revision of the RSV. The changes are: (1) In places where 'the LORD', 'O LORD' occurs in the RSV, (it represents the tetragrammaton - YHWH - which is in the hebrew text), I have used the name 'Yahweh'.
(2) I have removed the quotation marks and hyphens that were used in so many names in the RSV as an aid to correct pronunciation. This now brings it in line with all other English versions, and makes any word-search more accurate.
(3) I have changed all (I hope!) of the RSV archaic language sections to modern.

Quotations of OT passages by NT authors can in most cases be viewed within their context of the OT passage as a whole, with the quoted text displayed, against a subdued background.
