| 3 | καὶ ἐξορκιῶ σε κύριον τὸν θεὸν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ τὸν θεὸν τῆς γῆς, ἵνα μὴ λάβῃς γυναῖκα τῷ υἱῷ μου Ισαακ ἀπὸ τῶν θυγατέρων τῶν Χαναναίων, μεθ' ὧν ἐγὼ οἰκῶ ἐν αὐτοῖς, | and I will adjure you by the Lord the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that you take not a wife for my son Isaac from the daughters of the Chananites, with whom I dwell, in the midst of them. | and I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell, | וְאַשְׁבִּיעֲךָ בַּיהוָה אֱלֹהֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם וֵאלֹהֵי הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר לֹא־תִקַּח אִשָּׁה לִבְנִי מִבְּנֹות הַכְּנַעֲנִי אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי יֹושֵׁב בְּקִרְבֹּו׃ | 3 | |

| 5 | εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ παῖς Μήποτε οὐ βούλεται ἡ γυνὴ πορευθῆναι μετ' ἐμοῦ ὀπίσω εἰς τὴν γῆν ταύτην· ἀποστρέψω τὸν υἱόν σου εἰς τὴν γῆν, ὅθεν ἐξῆλθες ἐκεῖθεν; | And the servant said to him, Shall I carry back your son to the land from where you came, if haply the woman should not be willing to return with me to this land? | The servant said to him, "Perhaps the woman may not be willing to follow me to this land; must I then take your son back to the land from which you came?" | וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו הָעֶבֶד אוּלַי לֹא־תֹאבֶה הָאִשָּׁה לָלֶכֶת אַחֲרַי אֶל־הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת הֶהָשֵׁב אָשִׁיב אֶת־בִּנְךָ אֶל־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר־יָצָאתָ מִשָּׁם׃ | 5 | |

| 8 | ἐὰν δὲ μὴ θέλῃ ἡ γυνὴ πορευθῆναι μετὰ σοῦ εἰς τὴν γῆν ταύτην, καθαρὸς ἔσῃ ἀπὸ τοῦ ὅρκου τούτου· μόνον τὸν υἱόν μου μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς ἐκεῖ. | And if the woman should not be willing to come with you into this land, you shall be clear from my oath, only carry not my son thither again. | But if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will be free from this oath of mine; only you must not take my son back there." | וְאִם־לֹא תֹאבֶה הָאִשָּׁה לָלֶכֶת אַחֲרֶיךָ וְנִקִּיתָ מִשְּׁבֻעָתִי זֹאת רַק אֶת־בְּנִי לֹא תָשֵׁב שָׁמָּה׃ | 8 | |

| 10 | Καὶ ἔλαβεν ὁ παῖς δέκα καμήλους ἀπὸ τῶν καμήλων τοῦ κυρίου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἀγαθῶν τοῦ κυρίου αὐτοῦ μεθ' ἑαυτοῦ καὶ ἀναστὰς ἐπορεύθη εἰς τὴν Μεσοποταμίαν εἰς τὴν πόλιν Ναχωρ. | And the servant took ten camels of his master's camels, and [he took] of all the goods of his master with him, and he arose and went into Mesopotamia to the city of Nachor. | Then the servant took ten of his master's camels and departed, taking all sorts of choice gifts from his master; and he arose, and went to Mesopota'mia, to the city of Nahor. | וַיִּקַּח הָעֶבֶד עֲשָׂרָה גְמַלִּים מִגְּמַלֵּי אֲדֹנָיו וַיֵּלֶךְ וְכָל־טוּב אֲדֹנָיו בְּיָדֹו וַיָּקָם וַיֵּלֶךְ אֶל־אֲרַם נַהֲרַיִם אֶל־עִיר נָחֹור׃ | 10 | |
| 11 | καὶ ἐκοίμισεν τὰς καμήλους ἔξω τῆς πόλεως παρὰ τὸ φρέαρ τοῦ ὕδατος τὸ πρὸς ὀψέ, ἡνίκα ἐκπορεύονται αἱ ὑδρευόμεναι. | And he rested his camels without the city by the well of water towards evening, when maidens go forth to draw water. | And he made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time when women go out to draw water. | וַיַּבְרֵךְ הַגְּמַלִּים מִחוּץ לָעִיר אֶל־בְּאֵר הַמָּיִם לְעֵת עֶרֶב לְעֵת צֵאת הַשֹּׁאֲבֹת׃ | 11 | |
| 12 | καὶ εἶπεν Κύριε ὁ θεὸς τοῦ κυρίου μου Αβρααμ, εὐόδωσον ἐναντίον ἐμοῦ σήμερον καὶ ποίησον ἔλεος μετὰ τοῦ κυρίου μου Αβρααμ. | And he said, O Lord God of my master Abraam, prosper my way before me to day, and deal mercifully with my master Abraam. | And he said, "O LORD, God of my master Abraham, grant me success today, I pray thee, and show steadfast love to my master Abraham. | וַיֹּאמַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲדֹנִי אַבְרָהָם הַקְרֵה־נָא לְפָנַי הַיֹּום וַעֲשֵׂה־חֶסֶד עִם אֲדֹנִי אַבְרָהָם׃ | 12 | |
| 13 | ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἕστηκα ἐπὶ τῆς πηγῆς τοῦ ὕδατος, αἱ δὲ θυγατέρες τῶν οἰκούντων τὴν πόλιν ἐκπορεύονται ἀντλῆσαι ὕδωρ, | Lo! I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of them that inhabit the city come forth to draw water. | Behold, I am standing by the spring of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water. | הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי נִצָּב עַל־עֵין הַמָּיִם וּבְנֹות אַנְשֵׁי הָעִיר יֹצְאֹת לִשְׁאֹב מָיִם׃ | 13 | |
| 14 | καὶ ἔσται ἡ παρθένος, ᾗ ἂν ἐγὼ εἴπω Ἑπίκλινον τὴν ὑδρίαν σου, ἵνα πίω, καὶ εἴπῃ μοι Πίε, καὶ τὰς καμήλους σου ποτιῶ, ἕως ἂν παύσωνται πίνουσαι, ταύτην ἡτοίμασας τῷ παιδί σου Ισαακ, καὶ ἐν τούτῳ γνώσομαι ὅτι ἐποίησας ἔλεος τῷ κυρίῳ μου Αβρααμ. | And it shall be, the virgin to whomsoever I shall say, Incline your water-pot, that I may drink, and she shall say, Drink, and I will give your camels drink, until they shall have done drinking-- even this one you have prepared for your servant Isaac, and hereby shall I know that you have dealt mercifully with my master Abraam. | Let the maiden to whom I shall say, 'Pray let down your jar that I may drink,' and who shall say, 'Drink, and I will water your camels' - let her be the one whom thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac. By this I shall know that thou hast shown steadfast love to my master." | וְהָיָה הַנַּעֲרָ אֲשֶׁר אֹמַר אֵלֶיהָ הַטִּי־נָא כַדֵּךְ וְאֶשְׁתֶּה וְאָמְרָה שְׁתֵה וְגַם־גְּמַלֶּיךָ אַשְׁקֶה אֹתָהּ הֹכַחְתָּ לְעַבְדְּךָ לְיִצְחָק וּבָהּ אֵדַע כִּי־עָשִׂיתָ חֶסֶד עִם־אֲדֹנִי׃ | 14 | |
| 15 | καὶ ἐγένετο πρὸ τοῦ συντελέσαι αὐτὸν λαλοῦντα ἐν τῇ διανοίᾳ, καὶ ἰδοὺ Ρεβεκκα ἐξεπορεύετο ἡ τεχθεῖσα Βαθουηλ υἱῷ Μελχας τῆς γυναικὸς Ναχωρ ἀδελφοῦ δὲ Αβρααμ ἔχουσα τὴν ὑδρίαν ἐπὶ τῶν ὤμων αὐτῆς. | And it came to pass before he had done speaking in his mind, that behold, Rebecca the daughter of Bathuel, the son of Melcha, the wife of Nachor, and [the same] the brother of Abraam, came forth, having a water-pot on her shoulders. | Before he had done speaking, behold, Rebekah, who was born to Bethu'el the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, came out with her water jar upon her shoulder. | וַיְהִי־הוּא טֶרֶם כִּלָּה לְדַבֵּר וְהִנֵּה רִבְקָה יֹצֵאת אֲשֶׁר יֻלְּדָה לִבְתוּאֵל בֶּן־מִלְכָּה אֵשֶׁת נָחֹור אֲחִי אַבְרָהָם וְכַדָּהּ עַל־שִׁכְמָהּ׃ | 15 | |
| 16 | ἡ δὲ παρθένος ἦν καλὴ τῇ ὄψει σφόδρα· παρθένος ἦν, ἀνὴρ οὐκ ἔγνω αὐτήν. καταβᾶσα δὲ ἐπὶ τὴν πηγὴν ἔπλησεν τὴν ὑδρίαν καὶ ἀνέβη. | And the virgin was very beautiful in appearance, she was a virgin, a man had not known her; and she went down to the well, and filled her water-pot, and came up. | The maiden was very fair to look upon, a virgin, whom no man had known. She went down to the spring, and filled her jar, and came up. | וְהַנַּעֲרָ טֹבַת מַרְאֶה מְאֹד בְּתוּלָה וְאִישׁ לֹא יְדָעָהּ וַתֵּרֶד הָעַיְנָה וַתְּמַלֵּא כַדָּהּ וַתָּעַל׃ | 16 | |
| 17 | ἐπέδραμεν δὲ ὁ παῖς εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτῆς καὶ εἶπεν Πότισόν με μικρὸν ὕδωρ ἐκ τῆς ὑδρίας σου. | And the servant ran up to meet her, and said, Give me a little water to drink out of your pitcher; | Then the servant ran to meet her, and said, "Pray give me a little water to drink from your jar." | וַיָּרָץ הָעֶבֶד לִקְרָאתָהּ וַיֹּאמֶר הַגְמִיאִינִי נָא מְעַט־מַיִם מִכַּדֵּךְ׃ | 17 | |
| 18 | ἡ δὲ εἶπεν Πίε, κύριε. καὶ ἔσπευσεν καὶ καθεῖλεν τὴν ὑδρίαν ἐπὶ τὸν βραχίονα αὐτῆς καὶ ἐπότισεν αὐτόν, | and she said, Drink, Sir; and she hasted, and let down the pitcher upon her arm, and gave him to drink, till he ceased drinking. | She said, "Drink, my lord"; and she quickly let down her jar upon her hand, and gave him a drink. | וַתֹּאמֶר שְׁתֵה אֲדֹנִי וַתְּמַהֵר וַתֹּרֶד כַּדָּהּ עַל־יָדָהּ וַתַּשְׁקֵהוּ׃ | 18 | |
| 19 | ἕως ἐπαύσατο πίνων. καὶ εἶπεν Καὶ ταῖς καμήλοις σου ὑδρεύσομαι, ἕως ἂν πᾶσαι πίωσιν. | And she said, I will also draw water for your camels, till they shall all have drunk. | When she had finished giving him a drink, she said, "I will draw for your camels also, until they have done drinking." | וַתְּכַל לְהַשְׁקֹתֹו וַתֹּאמֶר גַּם לִגְמַלֶּיךָ אֶשְׁאָב עַד אִם־כִּלּוּ לִשְׁתֹּת׃ | 19 | |
| 20 | καὶ ἔσπευσεν καὶ ἐξεκένωσεν τὴν ὑδρίαν εἰς τὸ ποτιστήριον καὶ ἔδραμεν ἔτι ἐπὶ τὸ φρέαρ ἀντλῆσαι καὶ ὑδρεύσατο πάσαις ταῖς καμήλοις. | And she hasted, and emptied the water-pot into the trough, and ran to the well to draw again, and drew water for all the camels. | So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough and ran again to the well to draw, and she drew for all his camels. | וַתְּמַהֵר וַתְּעַר כַּדָּהּ אֶל־הַשֹּׁקֶת וַתָּרָץ עֹוד אֶל־הַבְּאֵר לִשְׁאֹב וַתִּשְׁאַב לְכָל־גְּמַלָּיו׃ | 20 | |
| 21 | ὁ δὲ ἄνθρωπος κατεμάνθανεν αὐτὴν καὶ παρεσιώπα τοῦ γνῶναι εἰ εὐόδωκεν κύριος τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτοῦ ἢ οὔ. | And the man took great notice of her, and remained silent to know whether the Lord had made his way prosperous or not. | The man gazed at her in silence to learn whether the LORD had prospered his journey or not. | וְהָאִישׁ מִשְׁתָּאֵה לָהּ מַחֲרִישׁ לָדַעַת הַהִצְלִיחַ יְהוָה דַּרְכֹּו אִם־לֹא׃ | 21 | |
| 22 | ἐγένετο δὲ ἡνίκα ἐπαύσαντο πᾶσαι αἱ κάμηλοι πίνουσαι, ἔλαβεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐνώτια χρυσᾶ ἀνὰ δραχμὴν ὁλκῆς καὶ δύο ψέλια ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῆς, δέκα χρυσῶν ὁλκὴ αὐτῶν. | And it came to pass when all the camels ceased drinking, that the man took golden ear-rings, each of a drachm weight, and he [put] two bracelets on her hands, their weight was ten pieces of gold. | When the camels had done drinking, the man took a gold ring weighing a half shekel, and two bracelets for her arms weighing ten gold shekels, | וַיְהִי כַּאֲשֶׁר כִּלּוּ הַגְּמַלִּים לִשְׁתֹּות וַיִּקַּח הָאִישׁ נֶזֶם זָהָב בֶּקַע מִשְׁקָלֹו וּשְׁנֵי צְמִידִים עַל־יָדֶיהָ עֲשָׂרָה זָהָב מִשְׁקָלָם׃ | 22 | |
| 23 | καὶ ἐπηρώτησεν αὐτὴν καὶ εἶπεν Θυγάτηρ τίνος εἶ; ἀνάγγειλόν μοι· εἰ ἔστιν παρὰ τῷ πατρί σου τόπος ἡμῖν καταλῦσαι; | And he asked her, and said, Whose daughter are you? Tell me if there is room for us to lodge with your father. | and said, "Tell me whose daughter you are. Is there room in your father's house for us to lodge in?" | וַיֹּאמֶר בַּת־מִי אַתְּ הַגִּידִי נָא לִי הֲיֵשׁ בֵּית־אָבִיךְ מָקֹום לָנוּ לָלִין׃ | 23 | |
| 24 | καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Θυγάτηρ Βαθουηλ εἰμὶ ἐγὼ τοῦ Μελχας, ὃν ἔτεκεν τῷ Ναχωρ. | And she said to him, I am the daughter of Bathuel the son of Melcha, whom she bore to Nachor. | She said to him, "I am the daughter of Bethu'el the son of Milcah, whom she bore to Nahor." | וַתֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו בַּת־בְּתוּאֵל אָנֹכִי בֶּן־מִלְכָּה אֲשֶׁר יָלְדָה לְנָחֹור׃ | 24 | |
| 25 | καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Καὶ ἄχυρα καὶ χορτάσματα πολλὰ παρ' ἡμῖν καὶ τόπος τοῦ καταλῦσαι. | And she said to him, We have both straw and much provender, and a place for resting. | She added, "We have both straw and provender enough, and room to lodge in." | וַתֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו גַּם־תֶּבֶן גַּם־מִסְפֹּוא רַב עִמָּנוּ גַּם־מָקֹום לָלוּן׃ | 25 | |
| 26 | καὶ εὐδοκήσας ὁ ἄνθρωπος προσεκύνησεν κυρίῳ | And the man being well pleased, worshiped the Lord, | The man bowed his head and worshipped the LORD, | וַיִּקֹּד הָאִישׁ וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ לַיהוָה׃ | 26 | |
| 27 | καὶ εἶπεν Εὐλογητὸς κύριος ὁ θεὸς τοῦ κυρίου μου Αβρααμ, ὃς οὐκ ἐγκατέλιπεν τὴν δικαιοσύνην αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν ἀλήθειαν ἀπὸ τοῦ κυρίου μου· ἐμὲ εὐόδωκεν κύριος εἰς οἶκον τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ τοῦ κυρίου μου. | and said, Blessed be the Lord the God of my master Abraam, who has not suffered his righteousness to fail, nor his truth from my master, and the Lord has brought me prosperously to the house of the brother of my lord. | and said, "Blessed be the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his steadfast love and his faithfulness toward my master. As for me, the LORD has led me in the way to the house of my master's kinsmen." | וַיֹּאמֶר בָּרוּךְ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲדֹנִי אַבְרָהָם אֲשֶׁר לֹא־עָזַב חַסְדֹּו וַאֲמִתֹּו מֵעִם אֲדֹנִי אָנֹכִי בַּדֶּרֶךְ נָחַנִי יְהוָה בֵּית אֲחֵי אֲדֹנִי׃ | 27 | |
| 28 | Καὶ δραμοῦσα ἡ παῖς ἀπήγγειλεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον τῆς μητρὸς αὐτῆς κατὰ τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα. | And the maiden ran and reported to the house of her mother according to these words. | Then the maiden ran and told her mother's household about these things. | וַתָּרָץ הַנַּעֲרָ וַתַּגֵּד לְבֵית אִמָּהּ כַּדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה׃ | 28 | |
| 29 | τῇ δὲ Ρεβεκκα ἀδελφὸς ἦν, ᾧ ὄνομα Λαβαν· καὶ ἔδραμεν Λαβαν πρὸς τὸν ἄνθρωπον ἔξω ἐπὶ τὴν πηγήν. | And Rebecca had a brother whose name was Laban; and Laban ran out to meet the man, to the well. | Rebekah had a brother whose name was Laban; and Laban ran out to the man, to the spring. | וּלְרִבְקָה אָח וּשְׁמֹו לָבָן וַיָּרָץ לָבָן אֶל־הָאִישׁ הַחוּצָה אֶל־הָעָיִן׃ | 29 | |
| 30 | καὶ ἐγένετο ἡνίκα εἶδεν τὰ ἐνώτια καὶ τὰ ψέλια ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖρας τῆς ἀδελφῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ ὅτε ἤκουσεν τὰ ῥήματα Ρεβεκκας τῆς ἀδελφῆς αὐτοῦ λεγούσης Οὕτως λελάληκέν μοι ὁ ἄνθρωπος, καὶ ἦλθεν πρὸς τὸν ἄνθρωπον ἑστηκότος αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τῶν καμήλων ἐπὶ τῆς πηγῆς | And it came to pass when he saw the ear-rings and the bracelets on the hands of his sister, and when he heard the words of Rebecca his sister, saying, Thus the man spoke to me, that he went to the man, as he stood by the camels at the well. | When he saw the ring, and the bracelets on his sister's arms, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, "Thus the man spoke to me," he went to the man; and behold, he was standing by the camels at the spring. | וַיְהִי כִּרְאֹת אֶת־הַנֶּזֶם וְאֶת־הַצְּמִדִים עַל־יְדֵי אֲחֹתֹו וּכְשָׁמְעֹו אֶת־דִּבְרֵי רִבְקָה אֲחֹתֹו לֵאמֹר כֹּה־דִבֶּר אֵלַי הָאִישׁ וַיָּבֹא אֶל־הָאִישׁ וְהִנֵּה עֹמֵד עַל־הַגְּמַלִּים עַל־הָעָיִן׃ | 30 | |
| 31 | καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Δεῦρο εἴσελθε· εὐλογητὸς κύριος· ἵνα τί ἕστηκας ἔξω; ἐγὼ δὲ ἡτοίμακα τὴν οἰκίαν καὶ τόπον ταῖς καμήλοις. | And he said to him, Come in hither, you blessed of the Lord, why do you stand outside, whereas I have prepared the house and a place for the camels? | He said, "Come in, O blessed of the LORD; why do you stand outside? For I have prepared the house and a place for the camels." | וַיֹּאמֶר בֹּוא בְּרוּךְ יְהוָה לָמָּה תַעֲמֹד בַּחוּץ וְאָנֹכִי פִּנִּיתִי הַבַּיִת וּמָקֹום לַגְּמַלִּים׃ | 31 | |
| 32 | εἰσῆλθεν δὲ ὁ ἄνθρωπος εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν καὶ ἀπέσαξεν τὰς καμήλους. καὶ ἔδωκεν ἄχυρα καὶ χορτάσματα ταῖς καμήλοις καὶ ὕδωρ νίψασθαι τοῖς ποσὶν αὐτοῦ καὶ τοῖς ποσὶν τῶν ἀνδρῶν τῶν μετ' αὐτοῦ. | And the man entered into the house, and unloaded the camels, and gave the camels straw and provender, and water to wash his feet, and the feet of the men that were with him. | So the man came into the house; and Laban ungirded the camels, and gave him straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet and the feet of the men who were with him. | וַיָּבֹא הָאִישׁ הַבַּיְתָה וַיְפַתַּח הַגְּמַלִּים וַיִּתֵּן תֶּבֶן וּמִסְפֹּוא לַגְּמַלִּים וּמַיִם לִרְחֹץ רַגְלָיו וְרַגְלֵי הָאֲנָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר אִתֹּו׃ | 32 | |
| 33 | καὶ παρέθηκεν αὐτοῖς ἄρτους φαγεῖν. καὶ εἶπεν Οὐ μὴ φάγω ἕως τοῦ λαλῆσαί με τὰ ῥήματά μου. καὶ εἶπαν Λάλησον. | And he set before them loaves to eat; but he said, I will not eat, until I have told my errand. And he said, Speak on. | Then food was set before him to eat; but he said, "I will not eat until I have told my errand." | 35 | κύριος δὲ εὐλόγησεν τὸν κύριόν μου σφόδρα, καὶ ὑψώθη· καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ πρόβατα καὶ μόσχους, ἀργύριον καὶ χρυσίον, παῖδας καὶ παιδίσκας, καμήλους καὶ ὄνους. | and the Lord has blessed my master greatly, and he is exalted, and he has given him sheep, and calves, and silver, and gold, servants and servant-maids, camels, and asses. | The LORD has greatly blessed my master, and he has become great; he has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, menservants and maidservants, camels and asses. | וַיהוָה בֵּרַךְ אֶת־אֲדֹנִי מְאֹד וַיִּגְדָּל וַיִּתֶּן־לֹו צֹאן וּבָקָר וְכֶסֶף וְזָהָב וַעֲבָדִם וּשְׁפָחֹת וּגְמַלִּים וַחֲמֹרִים׃ | 35 | |
| 36 | καὶ ἔτεκεν Σαρρα ἡ γυνὴ τοῦ κυρίου μου υἱὸν ἕνα τῷ κυρίῳ μου μετὰ τὸ γηρᾶσαι αὐτόν, καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ ὅσα ἦν αὐτῷ. | And Sarrha my master's wife bore one son to my master after he had grown old; and he gave him whatever he had. | And Sarah my master's wife bore a son to my master when she was old; and to him he has given all that he has. | וַתֵּלֶד שָׂרָה אֵשֶׁת אֲדֹנִי בֵן לַאדֹנִי אַחֲרֵי זִקְנָתָהּ וַיִּתֶּן־לֹּו אֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־לֹו׃ | 36 | |
| 37 | καὶ ὥρκισέν με ὁ κύριός μου λέγων Οὐ λήμψῃ γυναῖκα τῷ υἱῷ μου ἀπὸ τῶν θυγατέρων τῶν Χαναναίων, ἐν οἷς ἐγὼ παροικῶ ἐν τῇ γῇ αὐτῶν, | And my master caused me to swear, saying, You shall not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Chananites, among whom I sojourn in their land. | My master made me swear, saying, 'You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell; | וַיַּשְׁבִּעֵנִי אֲדֹנִי לֵאמֹר לֹא־תִּקַּח אִשָּׁה לִבְנִי מִבְּנֹות הַכְּנַעֲנִי אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי יֹשֵׁב בְּאַרְצֹו׃ | 37 | |
| 38 | ἀλλ' ἢ εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ πατρός μου πορεύσῃ καὶ εἰς τὴν φυλήν μου καὶ λήμψῃ γυναῖκα τῷ υἱῷ μου ἐκεῖθεν. | But you shall go to the house of my father, and to my tribe, and you shall take thence a wife for my son. | but you shall go to my father's house and to my kindred, and take a wife for my son.' | אִם־לֹא אֶל־בֵּית־אָבִי תֵּלֵךְ וְאֶל־מִשְׁפַּחְתִּי וְלָקַחְתָּ אִשָּׁה לִבְנִי׃ | 38 | |
| 39 | εἶπα δὲ τῷ κυρίῳ μου Μήποτε οὐ πορεύσεται ἡ γυνὴ μετ' ἐμοῦ. | And I said to my master, Haply the woman will not go with me. | I said to my master, 'Perhaps the woman will not follow me.' | וָאֹמַר אֶל־אֲדֹנִי אֻלַי לֹא־תֵלֵךְ הָאִשָּׁה אַחֲרָי׃ | 39 | |
| 40 | καὶ εἶπέν μοι Κύριος, ᾧ εὐηρέστησα ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ, αὐτὸς ἀποστελεῖ τὸν ἄγγελον αὐτοῦ μετὰ σοῦ καὶ εὐοδώσει τὴν ὁδόν σου, καὶ λήμψῃ γυναῖκα τῷ υἱῷ μου ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς μου καὶ ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ πατρός μου. | And he said to me, The Lord God to whom I have been acceptable in his presence, himself shall send out his angel with you, and shall prosper your journey, and you shall take a wife for my son of my tribe, and of the house of my father. | But he said to me, 'The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with you and prosper your way; and you shall take a wife for my son from my kindred and from my father's house; | וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָי יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר־הִתְהַלַּכְתִּי לְפָנָיו יִשְׁלַח מַלְאָכֹו אִתָּךְ וְהִצְלִיחַ דַּרְךֶּךָ וְלָקַחְתָּ אִשָּׁה לִבְנִי מִמִּשְׁפַּחְתִּי וּמִבֵּית אָבִי׃ | 40 | |
| 41 | τότε ἀθῷος ἔσῃ ἀπὸ τῆς ἀρᾶς μου· ἡνίκα γὰρ ἐὰν ἔλθῃς εἰς τὴν ἐμὴν φυλὴν καὶ μή σοι δῶσιν, καὶ ἔσῃ ἀθῷος ἀπὸ τοῦ ὁρκισμοῦ μου. | Then shall you be clear from my curse, for whenever you shall have come to my tribe, and they shall not give her to you, then shall you be clear from my oath. | then you will be free from my oath, when you come to my kindred; and if they will not give her to you, you will be free from my oath.' | אָז תִּנָּקֶה מֵאָלָתִי כִּי תָבֹוא אֶל־מִשְׁפַּחְתִּי וְאִם־לֹא יִתְּנוּ לָךְ וְהָיִיתָ נָקִי מֵאָלָתִי׃ | 41 | |
| 42 | καὶ ἐλθὼν σήμερον ἐπὶ τὴν πηγὴν εἶπα Κύριε ὁ θεὸς τοῦ κυρίου μου Αβρααμ, εἰ σὺ εὐοδοῖς τὴν ὁδόν μου, ἣν νῦν ἐγὼ πορεύομαι ἐπ' αὐτήν, | And having come this day to the well, I said, Lord God of my master Abraam, if you prosper my journey on which I am now going, | "I came today to the spring, and said, 'O LORD, the God of my master Abraham, if now thou wilt prosper the way which I go, | וָאָבֹא הַיֹּום אֶל־הָעָיִן וָאֹמַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲדֹנִי אַבְרָהָם אִם־יֶשְׁךָ־נָּא מַצְלִיחַ דַּרְכִּי אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי הֹלֵךְ עָלֶיהָ׃ | 42 | |
| 43 | ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐφέστηκα ἐπὶ τῆς πηγῆς τοῦ ὕδατος, καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες τῶν ἀνθρώπων τῆς πόλεως ἐξελεύσονται ὑδρεύσασθαι ὕδωρ, καὶ ἔσται ἡ παρθένος, ᾗ ἂν ἐγὼ εἴπω Πότισόν με μικρὸν ὕδωρ ἐκ τῆς ὑδρίας σου, | behold, I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city come forth to draw water, and it shall be [that] the maiden to whom I shall say, Give me a little water to drink out of your pitcher, | behold, I am standing by the spring of water; let the young woman who comes out to draw, to whom I shall say, "Pray give me a little water from your jar to drink," | הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי נִצָּב עַל־עֵין הַמָּיִם וְהָיָה הָעַלְמָה הַיֹּצֵאת לִשְׁאֹב וְאָמַרְתִּי אֵלֶיהָ הַשְׁקִינִי־נָא מְעַט־מַיִם מִכַּדֵּךְ׃ | 43 | |
| 44 | καὶ εἴπῃ μοι Καὶ σὺ πίε, καὶ ταῖς καμήλοις σου ὑδρεύσομαι, αὕτη ἡ γυνή, ἣν ἡτοίμασεν κύριος τῷ ἑαυτοῦ θεράποντι Ισαακ, καὶ ἐν τούτῳ γνώσομαι ὅτι πεποίηκας ἔλεος τῷ κυρίῳ μου Αβρααμ. | and she shall say to me, Both drink, and I will draw water for your camels, this [shall be] the wife whom the Lord has prepared for his own servant Isaac; and hereby shall I know that you have wrought mercy with my master Abraam. | and who will say to me, "Drink, and I will draw for your camels also," let her be the woman whom the LORD has appointed for my master's son.' | וְאָמְרָה אֵלַי גַּם־אַתָּה שְׁתֵה וְגַם לִגְמַלֶּיךָ אֶשְׁאָב הִוא הָאִשָּׁה אֲשֶׁר־הֹכִיחַ יְהוָה לְבֶן־אֲדֹנִי׃ | 44 | |
| 45 | καὶ ἐγένετο πρὸ τοῦ συντελέσαι με λαλοῦντα ἐν τῇ διανοίᾳ εὐθὺς Ρεβεκκα ἐξεπορεύετο ἔχουσα τὴν ὑδρίαν ἐπὶ τῶν ὤμων καὶ κατέβη ἐπὶ τὴν πηγὴν καὶ ὑδρεύσατο. εἶπα δὲ αὐτῇ Πότισόν με. | And it came to pass before I had done speaking in my mind, straightway Rebecca came forth, having her pitcher on her shoulders; and she went down to the well, and drew water; and I said to her, Give me to drink. | "Before I had done speaking in my heart, behold, Rebekah came out with her water jar on her shoulder; and she went down to the spring, and drew. I said to her, 'Pray let me drink.' | אֲנִי טֶרֶם אֲכַלֶּה לְדַבֵּר אֶל־לִבִּי וְהִנֵּה רִבְקָה יֹצֵאת וְכַדָּהּ עַל־שִׁכְמָהּ וַתֵּרֶד הָעַיְנָה וַתִּשְׁאָב וָאֹמַר אֵלֶיהָ הַשְׁקִינִי נָא׃ | 45 | |
| 46 | καὶ σπεύσασα καθεῖλεν τὴν ὑδρίαν αὐτῆς ἀφ' ἑαυτῆς καὶ εἶπεν Πίε σύ, καὶ τὰς καμήλους σου ποτιῶ. καὶ ἔπιον, καὶ τὰς καμήλους μου ἐπότισεν. | And she hasted and let down her pitcher on her arm from her head, and said, Drink, and I will give your camels drink; and I drank, and she gave the camels drink. | She quickly let down her jar from her shoulder, and said, 'Drink, and I will give your camels drink also.' So I drank, and she gave the camels drink also. | וַתְּמַהֵר וַתֹּורֶד כַּדָּהּ מֵעָלֶיהָ וַתֹּאמֶר שְׁתֵה וְגַם־גְּמַלֶּיךָ אַשְׁקֶה וָאֵשְׁתְּ וְגַם הַגְּמַלִּים הִשְׁקָתָה׃ | 46 | |
| 47 | καὶ ἠρώτησα αὐτὴν καὶ εἶπα Τίνος εἶ θυγάτηρ; ἡ δὲ ἔφη Θυγάτηρ Βαθουηλ εἰμὶ τοῦ υἱοῦ Ναχωρ, ὃν ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ Μελχα. καὶ περιέθηκα αὐτῇ τὰ ἐνώτια καὶ τὰ ψέλια περὶ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῆς· | And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter are you? tell me; and she said, I am daughter of Bathuel the son of Nachor, whom Melcha bore to him; and I put on her the earrings, and the bracelets on her hands. | Then I asked her, 'Whose daughter are you?' She said, The daughter of Bethu'el, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bore to him.' So I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her arms. | וָאֶשְׁאַל אֹתָהּ וָאֹמַר בַּת־מִי אַתְּ וַתֹּאמֶר בַּת־בְּתוּאֵל בֶּן־נָחֹור אֲשֶׁר יָלְדָה־לֹּו מִלְכָּה וָאָשִׂם הַנֶּזֶם עַל־אַפָּהּ וְהַצְּמִידִים עַל־יָדֶיהָ׃ | 47 | |
| 48 | καὶ εὐδοκήσας προσεκύνησα κυρίῳ καὶ εὐλόγησα κύριον τὸν θεὸν τοῦ κυρίου μου Αβρααμ, ὃς εὐόδωσέν μοι ἐν ὁδῷ ἀληθείας λαβεῖν τὴν θυγατέρα τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ τοῦ κυρίου μου τῷ υἱῷ αὐτοῦ. | And being well-pleased I worshiped the Lord, and I blessed the Lord the God of my master Abraam, who has prospered me in a true way, so that I should take the daughter of my master's brother for his son. | Then I bowed my head and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who had led me by the right way to take the daughter of my master's kinsman for his son. | וָאֶקֹּד וָאֶשְׁתַּחֲוֶה לַיהוָה וָאֲבָרֵךְ אֶת־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲדֹנִי אַבְרָהָם אֲשֶׁר הִנְחַנִי בְּדֶרֶךְ אֱמֶת לָקַחַת אֶת־בַּת־אֲחִי אֲדֹנִי לִבְנֹו׃ | 48 | |
| 49 | εἰ οὖν ποιεῖτε ὑμεῖς ἔλεος καὶ δικαιοσύνην πρὸς τὸν κύριόν μου, ἀπαγγείλατέ μοι, εἰ δὲ μή, ἀπαγγείλατέ μοι, ἵνα ἐπιστρέψω εἰς δεξιὰν ἢ εἰς ἀριστεράν. | If then you [will] deal mercifully and justly with my lord, [tell me], and if not, tell me, that I may turn to the right hand or to the left. | Now then, if you will deal loyally and truly with my master, tell me; and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand or to the left." | וְעַתָּה אִם־יֶשְׁכֶם עֹשִׂים חֶסֶד וֶאֱמֶת אֶת־אֲדֹנִי הַגִּידוּ לִי וְאִם־לֹא הַגִּידוּ לִי וְאֶפְנֶה עַל־יָמִין אֹו עַל־שְׂמֹאל׃ | 49 | |
| 50 | Ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ Λαβαν καὶ Βαθουηλ εἶπαν Παρὰ κυρίου ἐξῆλθεν τὸ πρόσταγμα τοῦτο· οὐ δυνησόμεθα οὖν σοι ἀντειπεῖν κακὸν καλῷ. | And Laban and Bathuel answered and said, This matter has come forth from the Lord, we shall not be able to answer you bad or good. | Then Laban and Bethu'el answered, "The thing comes from the LORD; we cannot speak to you bad or good. | וַיַּעַן לָבָן וּבְתוּאֵל וַיֹּאמְרוּ מֵיְהוָה יָצָא הַדָּבָר לֹא נוּכַל דַּבֵּר אֵלֶיךָ רַע אֹו־טֹוב׃ | 50 | |
| 51 | ἰδοὺ Ρεβεκκα ἐνώπιόν σου· λαβὼν ἀπότρεχε, καὶ ἔστω γυνὴ τῷ υἱῷ τοῦ κυρίου σου, καθὰ ἐλάλησεν κύριος. | Behold, Rebecca is before you, take her and go away, and let her be wife to the son of your master, as the Lord has said. | Behold, Rebekah is before you, take her and go, and let her be the wife of your master's son, as the LORD has spoken." | הִנֵּה־רִבְקָה לְפָנֶיךָ קַח וָלֵךְ וּתְהִי אִשָּׁה לְבֶן־אֲדֹנֶיךָ כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה׃ | 51 | |
| 52 | ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ ἀκοῦσαι τὸν παῖδα τὸν Αβρααμ τῶν ῥημάτων τούτων προσεκύνησεν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν κυρίῳ. | And it came to pass when the servant of Abraam heard these words, he bowed himself to the Lord down to the earth. | When Abraham's servant heard their words, he bowed himself to the earth before the LORD. | וַיְהִי כַּאֲשֶׁר שָׁמַע עֶבֶד אַבְרָהָם אֶת־דִּבְרֵיהֶם וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ אַרְצָה לַיהוָה׃ | 52 | |
| 53 | καὶ ἐξενέγκας ὁ παῖς σκεύη ἀργυρᾶ καὶ χρυσᾶ καὶ ἱματισμὸν ἔδωκεν Ρεβεκκα καὶ δῶρα ἔδωκεν τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτῆς καὶ τῇ μητρὶ αὐτῆς. | And the servant having brought forth jewels of silver and gold and raiment, gave them to Rebecca, and gave gifts to her brother, and to her mother. | And the servant brought forth jewelry of silver and of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah; he also gave to her brother and to her mother costly ornaments. | וַיֹּוצֵא הָעֶבֶד כְּלֵי־כֶסֶף וּכְלֵי זָהָב וּבְגָדִים וַיִּתֵּן לְרִבְקָה וּמִגְדָּנֹת נָתַן לְאָחִיהָ וּלְאִמָּהּ׃ | 53 | |
| 54 | καὶ ἔφαγον καὶ ἔπιον, αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ ἄνδρες οἱ μετ' αὐτοῦ ὄντες, καὶ ἐκοιμήθησαν. Καὶ ἀναστὰς πρωῒ εἶπεν Ἑκπέμψατέ με, ἵνα ἀπέλθω πρὸς τὸν κύριόν μου. | And both he and the men with him ate and drank and went to sleep. And he arose in the morning and said, Send me away, that I may go to my master. | And he and the men who were with him ate and drank, and they spent the night there. When they arose in the morning, he said, "Send me back to my master." | וַיֹּאכְלוּ וַיִּשְׁתּוּ הוּא וְהָאֲנָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר־עִמֹּו וַיָּלִינוּ וַיָּקוּמוּ בַבֹּקֶר וַיֹּאמֶר שַׁלְּחֻנִי לַאדֹנִי׃ | 54 | |
| 55 | εἶπαν δὲ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῆς καὶ ἡ μήτηρ Μεινάτω ἡ παρθένος μεθ' ἡμῶν ἡμέρας ὡσεὶ δέκα, καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἀπελεύσεται. | And her brethren and her mother said, Let the virgin remain with us about ten days, and after that she shall depart. | Her brother and her mother said, "Let the maiden remain with us a while, at least ten days; after that she may go." | וַיֹּאמֶר אָחִיהָ וְאִמָּהּ תֵּשֵׁב הַנַּעֲרָ אִתָּנוּ יָמִים אֹו עָשֹׂור אַחַר תֵּלֵךְ׃ | 55 | |
| 56 | ὁ δὲ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς Μὴ κατέχετέ με, καὶ κύριος εὐόδωσεν τὴν ὁδόν μου· ἐκπέμψατέ με, ἵνα ἀπέλθω πρὸς τὸν κύριόν μου. | But he said to them, Hinder me not, for the Lord has prospered my journey for me; send me away, that I may depart to my master. | But he said to them, "Do not delay me, since the LORD has prospered my way; let me go that I may go to my master." | וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם אַל־תְּאַחֲרוּ אֹתִי וַיהוָה הִצְלִיחַ דַּרְכִּי שַׁלְּחוּנִי וְאֵלְכָה לַאדֹנִי׃ | 56 | |
| 57 | οἱ δὲ εἶπαν Καλέσωμεν τὴν παῖδα καὶ ἐρωτήσωμεν τὸ στόμα αὐτῆς. | And they said, Let us call the maiden, and enquire at her mouth. | They said, "We will call the maiden, and ask her." | וַיֹּאמְרוּ נִקְרָא לַנַּעֲרָ וְנִשְׁאֲלָה אֶת־פִּיהָ׃ | 57 | |
| 58 | καὶ ἐκάλεσαν Ρεβεκκαν καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῇ Πορεύσῃ μετὰ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τούτου; ἡ δὲ εἶπεν Πορεύσομαι. | And they called Rebecca, and said to her, Will you go with this man? and she said, I will go. | And they called Rebekah, and said to her, "Will you go with this man?" She said, "I will go." | וַיִּקְרְאוּ לְרִבְקָה וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֵלֶיהָ הֲתֵלְכִי עִם־הָאִישׁ הַזֶּה וַתֹּאמֶר אֵלֵךְ׃ | 58 | |
| 59 | καὶ ἐξέπεμψαν Ρεβεκκαν τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ ὑπάρχοντα αὐτῆς καὶ τὸν παῖδα τὸν Αβρααμ καὶ τοὺς μετ' αὐτοῦ. | So they sent forth Rebecca their sister, and her goods, and the servant of Abraam, and his attendants. | So they sent away Rebekah their sister and her nurse, and Abraham's servant and his men. | וַיְשַׁלְּחוּ אֶת־רִבְקָה אֲחֹתָם וְאֶת־מֵנִקְתָּהּ וְאֶת־עֶבֶד אַבְרָהָם וְאֶת־אֲנָשָׁיו׃ | 59 | |
| 60 | καὶ εὐλόγησαν Ρεβεκκαν τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτῶν καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῇ Ἀδελφὴ ἡμῶν εἶ· γίνου εἰς χιλιάδας μυριάδων, καὶ κληρονομησάτω τὸ σπέρμα σου τὰς πόλεις τῶν ὑπεναντίων. | And they blessed Rebecca, and said to her, You are our sister; become you thousands of myriads, and let your seed possess the cities of their enemies. | And they blessed Rebekah, and said to her, "Our sister, be the mother of thousands of ten thousands; and may your descendants possess the gate of those who hate them!" | וַיְבָרֲכוּ אֶת־רִבְקָה וַיֹּאמְרוּ לָהּ

| 61 | ἀναστᾶσα δὲ Ρεβεκκα καὶ αἱ ἅβραι αὐτῆς ἐπέβησαν ἐπὶ τὰς καμήλους καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν μετὰ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου, καὶ ἀναλαβὼν ὁ παῖς τὴν Ρεβεκκαν ἀπῆλθεν. | And Rebecca rose up and her maidens, and they mounted the camels and went with the man; and the servant having taken up Rebecca, departed. | Then Rebekah and her maids arose, and rode upon the camels and followed the man; thus the servant took Rebekah, and went his way. | וַתָּקָם רִבְקָה וְנַעֲרֹתֶיהָ וַתִּרְכַּבְנָה עַל־הַגְּמַלִּים וַתֵּלַכְנָה אַחֲרֵי הָאִישׁ וַיִּקַּח הָעֶבֶד אֶת־רִבְקָה וַיֵּלַךְ׃ | 61 | |
| 62 | Ισαακ δὲ ἐπορεύετο διὰ τῆς ἐρήμου κατὰ τὸ φρέαρ τῆς ὁράσεως· αὐτὸς δὲ κατῴκει ἐν τῇ γῇ τῇ πρὸς λίβα. | And Isaac went through the wilderness to the well of the vision, and he dwelt in the land toward the south. | Now Isaac had come from Beer-la'hai-roi, and was dwelling in the Negeb. | וְיִצְחָק בָּא מִבֹּוא בְּאֵר לַחַי רֹאִי וְהוּא יֹושֵׁב בְּאֶרֶץ הַנֶּגֶב׃ | 62 | |
| 63 | καὶ ἐξῆλθεν Ισαακ ἀδολεσχῆσαι εἰς τὸ πεδίον τὸ πρὸς δείλης καὶ ἀναβλέψας τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς εἶδεν καμήλους ἐρχομένας. | And Isaac went forth into the plain toward evening to meditate; and having lifted up his eyes, he saw camels coming. | And Isaac went out to meditate in the field in the evening; and he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, there were camels coming. | וַיֵּצֵא יִצְחָק לָשׂוּחַ בַּשָּׂדֶה לִפְנֹות עָרֶב וַיִּשָּׂא עֵינָיו וַיַּרְא וְהִנֵּה גְמַלִּים בָּאִים׃ | 63 | |
| 64 | καὶ ἀναβλέψασα Ρεβεκκα τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς εἶδεν τὸν Ισαακ καὶ κατεπήδησεν ἀπὸ τῆς καμήλου | And Rebecca lifted up her eyes, and saw Isaac; and she alighted briskly from the camel, | And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she alighted from the camel, | וַתִּשָּׂא רִבְקָה אֶת־עֵינֶיהָ וַתֵּרֶא אֶת־יִצְחָק וַתִּפֹּל מֵעַל הַגָּמָל׃ | 64 | |
| 65 | καὶ εἶπεν τῷ παιδί Τίς ἐστιν ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐκεῖνος ὁ πορευόμενος ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ εἰς συνάντησιν ἡμῖν; εἶπεν δὲ ὁ παῖς Οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ κύριός μου. ἡ δὲ λαβοῦσα τὸ θέριστρον περιεβάλετο. | and said to the servant, Who is that man that walks in the plain to meet us? And the servant said, This is my master; and she took her veil and covered herself. | and said to the servant, "Who is the man yonder, walking in the field to meet us?" The servant said, "It is my master." So she took her veil and covered herself. | וַתֹּאמֶר אֶל־הָעֶבֶד מִי־הָאִישׁ הַלָּזֶה הַהֹלֵךְ בַּשָּׂדֶה לִקְרָאתֵנוּ וַיֹּאמֶר הָעֶבֶד הוּא אֲדֹנִי וַתִּקַּח הַצָּעִיף וַתִּתְכָּס׃ | 65 | |
| 66 | καὶ διηγήσατο ὁ παῖς τῷ Ισαακ πάντα τὰ ῥήματα, ἃ ἐποίησεν. | And the servant told Isaac all that he had done. | And the servant told Isaac all the things that he had done. | וַיְסַפֵּר הָעֶבֶד לְיִצְחָק אֵת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִים אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה׃ | 66 | |
| 67 | εἰσῆλθεν δὲ Ισαακ εἰς τὸν οἶκον τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔλαβεν τὴν Ρεβεκκαν, καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτοῦ γυνή, καὶ ἠγάπησεν αὐτήν· καὶ παρεκλήθη Ισαακ περὶ Σαρρας τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ. | And Isaac went into the house of his mother, and took Rebecca, and she became his wife, and he loved her; and Isaac was comforted for Sarrha his mother. | Then Isaac brought her into the tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother's death. | וַיְבִאֶהָ יִצְחָק הָאֹהֱלָה שָׂרָה אִמֹּו וַיִּקַּח אֶת־רִבְקָה וַתְּהִי־לֹו לְאִשָּׁה וַיֶּאֱהָבֶהָ וַיִּנָּחֵם יִצְחָק אַחֲרֵי אִמֹּו׃ ף | 67 | |
