9 LIBER VAIECRA ID EST LEVITICUS Leviticus - Wycliffe Bible(14c) Leviticus - Douay Rheims(17c) Reference

1 Facto autem octavo die, vocavit Moyses Aaron, et filios ejus, ac majores natu Israël, dixitque ad Aaron: Forsothe whanne the eiytithe dai was maad, Moises clepide Aaron, and hise sones, and the grettere men in birthe of Israel; And when the eighth day was come, Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the ancients of Israel, and said to Aaron: Aaron offers sacrifice. Lv.9.1-24
2 Tolle de armento vitulum pro peccato, et arietem in holocaustum, utrumque immaculatum, et offer illos coram Domino. and he seide to Aaron, Take thou of the droue a calf for synne, and a ram in to brent sacrifice, euer either with oute wem, and offre tho bifor the Lord. Take of the herd a calf for sin, and a ram for a holocaust, both without blemish, and offer them before the Lord.  
3 Et ad filios Israël loqueris: Tollite hircum pro peccato, et vitulum, atque agnum, anniculos, et sine macula in holocaustum, And thou schalt speke to the sones of Israel, Take ye a buk of geet for synne, and a calf, and a lomb of o yeer and with out wem, And to the children of Israel thou shalt say: Take ye a he goat for sin, and a calf, and a lamb, both of a year old, and without blemish for a holocaust,  
4 bovem et arietem pro pacificis: et immolate eos coram Domino, in sacrificio singulorum similam conspersam oleo offerentes: hodie enim Dominus apparebit vobis. in to brent sacrifice, an oxe and a ram for pesible thingis; and offre ye tho bifor the Lord, and offre ye whete flour spreynt with oile in the sacrifice of ech; for to dai the Lord schal appere to you. Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings: and immolate them before the Lord, offering for the sacrifice of every one of them flour tempered with oil; for to day the Lord will appear to you.  
5 Tulerunt ergo cuncta quæ jusserat Moyses ad ostium tabernaculi: ubi cum omnis multitudo astaret, Therfor thei token alle thingis, whiche Moises comaundide, to the dore of the tabernacle, where, whanne al the multitude stood, They brought therefore all things that Moses had commanded before the door of the tabernacle: where when all the multitude stood,  
6 ait Moyses: Iste est sermo, quem præcepit Dominus: facite, et apparebit vobis gloria ejus. Moises seide, This is the word, which the Lord comaundide, do ye, and his glorie schal appere to you. Moses said: This is the word, which the Lord hath commanded: do it, and his glory will appear to you.  
7 Et dixit ad Aaron: Accede ad altare, et immola pro peccato tuo: offer holocaustum, et deprecare pro te et pro populo: cumque mactaveris hostiam populi, ora pro eo, sicut præcepit Dominus. And Moises seide to Aaron, Neiye thou to the auter, and offre thou for thi synne; offre thou brent sacrifice, and preye for thee, and for the puple; and whanne thou hast slayn the sacrifice of the puple, preye thou for hem, as the Lord comaundide. And he said to Aaron: Approach to the altar, and offer sacrifice for thy sin: offer the holocaust, and pray for thyself and for the people: and when thou hast slain the people's victim, pray for them, as the Lord hath commanded.  
8 Statimque Aaron accedens ad altare, immolavit vitulum pro peccato suo: And anoon Aaron neiyede to the auter, and offride a calf for his synne; And forthwith Aaron, approaching to the altar, immolated the calf for his sin:  
9 cujus sanguinem obtulerunt ei filii sui: in quo tingens digitum, tetigit cornua altaris, et fudit residuum ad basim ejus. whos blood hise sones offriden to him, in which blood he dippide the fyngur, and touchide the hornes of the auter, and schedde the residue at the foundement therof; And his sons brought him the blood of it: and he dipped his finger therein, and touched the horns of the altar, and poured the rest at the foot thereof.  
10 Adipemque, et renunculos, ac reticulum jecoris, quæ sunt pro peccato, adolevit super altare, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi: and he brente on the auter the ynnere fatnesse, and litle reynes, and the calle of the mawe, as the Lord comaundide to Moises. And the fat, and the little kidneys, and the caul of the liver, which are for sin, he burnt upon the altar, as the Lord had commanded Moses:  
11 carnes vero et pellem ejus extra castra combussit igni. Forsothe he brente bi fier without the castels the fleischis and skyn therof. But the flesh and skins thereof he burnt with fire without the camp.  
12 Immolavit et holocausti victimam: obtuleruntque ei filii sui sanguinem ejus, quem fudit per altaris circuitum. And he offride the beeste of brent sacrifice, and hise sones offriden to hym the blood therof, which he schedde bi the cumpas of the auter; He immolated also the victim of holocaust: and his sons brought him the blood thereof, which he poured round about on the altar.  
13 Ipsam etiam hostiam in frusta concisam, cum capite et membris singulis obtulerunt; quæ omnia super altare cremavit igni, thei offriden also thilke sacrifice kit in to gobetis, with the heed, and alle membris; and he brente bi fier alle these thingis on the auter, And the victim being cut into pieces, they brought to him the head and all the members, all which he burnt with fire upon the altar,  
14 lotis aqua prius intestinis et pedibus. whanne the entrailis and feet weren waischun bifor with watir. Having first washed the entrails and the feet with water.  
15 Et pro peccato populi offerens, mactavit hircum: expiatoque altari, And he offride and killide a buk of geet, for the synne of the puple; and whanne the auter was clensid, Then offering for the sin of the people, he slew the he goat: and expiating the altar,  
16 fecit holocaustum, he made brent sacrifice, He offered the holocaust:  
17 addens in sacrificio libamenta, quæ pariter offeruntur, et adolens ea super altare, absque cæremoniis holocausti matutini. and addide in to the sacrifice fletynge offryngis that ben offrid togidere; and he brente tho on the auter, without cerymonyes of brent sacrifice of the morewtid. Adding in the sacrifice the libations, which are offered withal, and burning them upon the altar, besides the ceremonies of the morning holocaust.  
18 Immolavit et bovem atque arietem, hostias pacificas populi: obtuleruntque ei filii sui sanguinem, quem fudit super altare in circuitum. He offride also an oxe, and a ram, pesible sacrifices of the puple; and hise sones offriden to hym the blood, which he schedde bi the cumpas of the auter. He immolated also the bullock and the ram, the peace offerings of the people: and his sons brought him the blood, which he poured upon the altar round about.  
19 Adipem autem bovis, et caudam arietis, renunculosque cum adipibus suis, et reticulum jecoris, Forsothe thei puttiden on the brestis the ynnere fatnesse of the oxe, and the tail of the ram, and the litle reynes with her fatnessis, and the calle of the mawe. The fat also of the bullock, and the rump of the ram, and the two little kidneys, with their fat, and the caul of the liver,  
20 posuerunt super pectora: cumque cremati essent adipes super altare, And whanne the ynnere fatnessis weren brent in the auter, They put upon the breasts. And after the fat was burnt upon the altar,  
21 pectora eorum, et armos dextros separavit Aaron, elevans coram Domino, sicut præceperat Moyses. Aaron departide the brestis, and the riyt schuldris of tho, and reiside bifor the Lord, as Moises comaundide. Aaron separated their breasts, and the right shoulders, elevating them before the Lord, as Moses had commanded.  
22 Et extendens manus ad populum, benedixit ei. Sicque completis hostiis pro peccato, et holocaustis, et pacificis, descendit. And he streiyte forth hondis to the puple, and blesside it; and so whanne the sacrifices for synne, and brent sacrifices, and pesible sacrifices, weren fillid, he cam doun. And stretching forth his hands to the people, he blessed them. And so the victims for sin, and the holocausts, and the peace offerings being finished, he came down.  
23 Ingressi autem Moyses et Aaron in tabernaculum testimonii, et deinceps egressi, benedixerunt populo. Apparuitque gloria Domini omni multitudini: Sotheli Moyses and Aaron entriden in to the tabernacle of witnessyng, and yeden out aftirward, and blessiden the puple; and the glorie of the Lord apperide to al the multitude. And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the testimony, and afterwards came forth and blessed the people. And the glory of the Lord appeared to all the multitude:  
24 et ecce egressus ignis a Domino, devoravit holocaustum, et adipes qui erant super altare. Quod cum vidissent turbæ, laudaverunt Dominum, ruentes in facies suas. And lo! fier yede out fro the Lord, and deuouride the brent sacrifice, and the ynnere fatnesses that weren on the auter; and whanne the cumpanyes hadden seyn this thing, thei preiseden the Lord, and felden on her faces. And behold a fire, coming forth from the Lord, devoured the holocaust, and the fat that was upon the altar: which when the multitude saw, they praised the Lord, falling on their faces.
