1 Attulerunt igitur arcam Dei, et constituerunt eam in medio tabernaculi, quod tetenderat ei David: et obtulerunt holocausta, et pacifica coram Deo. Therfor thei brouyten the arke of God, and settiden it in the myddis of the tabernacle, that Dauid hadde araied therto; and thei offriden brent sacrifices and pesible sacrifices bifor the Lord. So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent, which David had pitched for it : and they offered holocausts, and peace offerings before God.  
2 Cumque complesset David offerens holocausta, et pacifica, benedixit populo in nomine Domini. And whanne Dauid offrynge brent sacrifices and pesible sacrifices hadde fillid, he blesside the puple in the name of the Lord; And when David had made an end of offering holocausts, and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.  
3 Et divisit universis per singulos, a viro usque ad mulierem, tortam panis, et partem assæ carnis bubalæ, et frixam oleo similam. and departide to alle to ech bi hym silf fro a man til to a womman o cake of breed, and a part of rostid fleisch of a bugle, and flour fried in oile. And he divided to all and every one, both men and women, a loaf of bread, and a piece of roasted beef, and flour fried with oil.  
4 Constituitque coram arca Domini de Levitis, qui ministrarent, et recordarentur operum ejus, et glorificarent, atque laudarent Dominum Deum Israël: And he ordeynede bifor the arke of the Lord, of the Leuytis, that schulden mynystre, and haue mynde of the werkis of the Lord, and glorifie and preyse the Lord God of Israel; And he appointed Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, and to remember his works, and to glorify, and praise the Lord God of Israel.  
5 Asaph principem, et secundum ejus Zachariam: porro Jahiel, et Semiramoth, et Jehiel, et Mathathiam, et Eliab, et Banaiam, et Obededom: Jehiel super organa psalterii, et lyras: Asaph autem ut cymbalis personaret: he ordeynede Asaph the prince, and Zacharie his secounde; forsothe he ordeynede Jahiel, and Semiramoth, and Jahel, and Mathathie, and Eliab, and Banaye, and Obededom, and Jehiel, on the orguns, on the sautrie, and on the harpis; but he ordeynede Asaph to sowne with cymbalis; Asaph the chief, and next after him Zacharias: moreover Jahiel, and Semiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mathathias, and Eliab, and Banaias, and Obededom: and Jehiel over the instruments of psaltery, and harps: and Asaph sounded with cymbals:  
6 Banaiam vero, et Jaziel sacerdotes, canere tuba jugiter coram arca fœderis Domini. sotheli he ordeynede Banaye and Aziel, preestis, bifor the arke of the boond of pees of the Lord, for to trumpe contynueli. But Banaias, and Jaziel the priests, to sound the trumpet continually before the ark of the covenant of the Lord.  
7 In illo die fecit David principem ad confitendum Domino Asaph, et fratres ejus: In that dai Dauid made Asaph prince, and hise britheren, for to knowleche to the Lord. In that day David made Asaph the chief to give praise to the Lord with his brethren.  
8 Confitemini Domino, et invocate nomen ejus:
notas facite in populis adinventiones ejus.
Knowleche ye to the Lord, and inwardli clepe ye his name;
make ye hise fyndyngis knowun among puplis.
Praise ye the Lord, and call upon his name:
make known his doings among the nations.

9 Cantate ei, et psallite ei:
et narrate omnia mirabilia ejus.
Synge ye to hym, and seie ye salm to hym,
and telle ye alle his merueylis.
Sing to him, yea, sing praises to him:
and relate all his wondrous works.
 
10 Laudate nomen sanctum ejus:
lætetur cor quærentium Dominum.
Preise ye his hooli name;
the herte of men sekynge the Lord be glad.
Praise ye his holy name:
let the heart I of them rejoice, that seek the Lord.
 
11 Quærite Dominum, et virtutem ejus:
quærite faciem ejus semper.
Seke ye the Lord and his vertu;
seke ye euere his face.
Seek ye the Lord, and his power:
seek ye his face evermore.
 
12 Recordamini mirabilium ejus quæ fecit:
signorum illius, et judiciorum oris ejus,
Haue ye mynde of hise merueilis whiche he dide;
of hise signes, and of the domes of his mouth.
Remember his wonderful works, which he hath done:
his signs, and the judgments of his mouth.
 
13 semen Israël servi ejus;
filii Jacob electi ejus.
The seed of Israel, his seruaunt, preise thou God;
the sones of Jacob, his chosun, preise ye God.
O ye seed of Israel his servants,
ye children of Jacob his chosen.
 
14 Ipse Dominus Deus noster:
in universa terra judicia ejus.
He is oure Lord God;
hise domes ben in ech lond.
He is the Lord our God:
his judgments are in all the earth.
 
15 Recordamini in sempiternum pacti ejus:
sermonis, quem præcepit in mille generationes,
Haue ye mynde with outen ende of his couenaunt;
of the word whiche he couenauntide in to a thousynde generaciouns.
Remember for ever his covenant: the word,
which he commanded to a thousand generations.
 
16 quem pepigit cum Abraham:
et juramenti illius cum Isaac.
Which word he couenauntide with Abraham;
and of his ooth to Ysaac.
The covenant which he made with Abraham:
and his oath to Isaac.
 
17 Et constituit illud Jacob in præceptum:
et Israël in pactum sempiternum,
And he ordeynede that to Jacob in to a comaundement;
and to Israel in to euerlastynge couenaunt.
And he appointed the same to Jacob for a precept:
and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
 
18 dicens: Tibi dabo terram Chanaan,
funiculum hæreditatis vestræ,
And seide, To thee Y schal yyue the lond of Canaan;
the part of youre erytage.
Saying: To thee will I give the land of Chanaan:
the lot of your inheritance.
 
19 cum essent pauci numero,
parvi et coloni ejus.
Whanne thei weren fewe in noumbre;
litle, and pilgrims therof.
When they were but a small number:
very few and sojourners in it.
 
20 Et transierunt de gente in gentem,
et de regno ad populum alterum.
And thei passiden fro folk in to the folk;
and fro a rewme to another puple.
And they passed from nation to nation:
and from a kingdom to another people.
 
21 Non dimisit quemquam calumniari eos,
sed increpavit pro eis reges.
He suffride not ony man falseli chalenge hem;
but he blamyde kyngis for hem.
He suffered no man to do them wrong:
and reproved kings for their sake.
 
22 Nolite tangere christos meos:
et in prophetis meis nolite malignari.
Nyle ye touche my cristis;
and nyle ye do wickidli ayens my prophetis.
Touch not my anointed:
and do no evil to my prophets.
 
23 Cantate Domino omnis terra,
annuntiate ex die in diem salutare ejus,
Al erthe, singe ye to the Lord;
telle ye fro dai into dai his helthe.
Sing ye to the Lord, all the earth:
shew forth from day to day his salvation.
 
24 narrate in gentibus gloriam ejus:
in cunctis populis mirabilia ejus.
Telle ye among hethen men his glorie;
hise merueylis among alle puplis.
Declare his glory among the Gentiles:
his wonders among all people.
 
25 Quia magnus Dominus, et laudabilis nimis:
et horribilis super omnes deos.
For the Lord is greet, and worthi to be preisid ful myche;
and he is orible, ethir griseful, ouer alle goddis.
For the Lord is great and exceedingly to be praised:
and he is to be feared above all gods.
 
26 Omnes enim dii populorum, idola:
Dominus autem cælos fecit.
For alle the goddis of puplis ben idols;
but the Lord made heuenes.
For all the gods of the nations are idols:
but the Lord made the heavens.
 
27 Confessio et magnificentia coram eo:
fortitudo et gaudium in loco ejus.
Knoulechyng and greet doyng ben bifor hym;
strengthe and ioy ben in the place of hym.
Praise and magnificence are before him:
strength and joy in his place.
 
28 Afferte Domino, familiæ populorum:
afferte Domino gloriam et imperium.
Ye meynees of puplis, bringe ye to the Lord;
brynge ye to the Lord glorie and empire.
Bring ye to the Lord, O ye families of the nations:
bring ye to the Lord glory and empire.
 
29 Date Domino gloriam;
nomini ejus levate sacrificium, et venite in conspectu ejus:
et adorate Dominum in decore sancto.
Yyue ye glorie to his name,
reise ye sacrifice, and come ye in his siyt; and worschipe ye the Lord in hooli fairnesse.
Give to the Lord glory to his name,
bring up sacrifice, and come ye in his sight: and adore the Lord in holy becomingness.
 
30 Commoveatur a facie ejus omnis terra:
ipse enim fundavit orbem immobilem.
Al erthe be mouyd fro his face;
for he foundide the world vnmouable.
Let all the earth be moved at his presence:
for he hath founded the world immoveable.
 
31 Lætentur cæli, et exultet terra;
et dicant in nationibus: Dominus regnavit.
Heuenes be glad, and the erthe ioy fulli;
and seie thei among naciouns, The Lord schal regne.
Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth be glad:
and let them say among the nations: The Lord hath reigned.
 
32 Tonet mare, et plenitudo ejus:
exultent agri, et omnia quæ in eis sunt.
The see thundre, and his fulnesse;
the feeldis fulli ioye, and alle thingis that ben in tho.
Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof:
let the fields rejoice, and all things that are in them.
 
33 Tunc laudabunt ligna saltus coram Domino:
quia venit judicare terram.
Thanne the trees of the forest schulen preyse bifor the Lord;
for he cometh to deme the erthe.
Then shall the trees of the wood give praise before the Lord:
because he is come to judge the earth.
 
34 Confitemini Domino, quoniam bonus:
quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
Knouleche ye to the Lord, for he is good;
for his mersi is withouten ende.
Give ye glory to the Lord, for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
 
35 Et dicite:
Salva nos, Deus salvator noster:
et congrega nos, et erue de gentibus,
ut confiteamur nomini sancto tuo,
et exultemus in carminibus tuis.
And seie ye,
Thou God oure sauyour,
saue vs, and gadere vs, and delyuere vs fro hethen men;
that we knowleche to thin hooli name,
and be fulli glade in thi songis.
And say ye:
Save us, O God our saviour:
and gather us together, and deliver us from the nations,
that we may give glory to thy holy name,
and may rejoice in singing thy praises.
 
36 Benedictus Dominus Deus Israël,
ab æterno usque in æternum.
Et dicat omnis populo: Amen, et hymnum Domino.
Blessid be the Lord God of Israel
fro with oute bigynnyng and til in to with outen ende;
and al the puple seie, Amen, and seie heriyng to God.
Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel
from eternity to eternity:
and let all the people say Amen, and a hymn to God.
 
37 Reliquit itaque ibi coram arca fœderis Domini Asaph, et fratres ejus, ut ministrarent in conspectu arcæ jugiter per singulos dies, et vices suas. Therfor Dauid lefte there, bifor the arke of boond of pees of the Lord, Asaph and hise britheren, for to mynystre in the siyt of the arke contynueli bi alle daies and her whilis. So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, Asaph and his brethren to minister in the presence of the ark continually day by day, and in their courses. Worship at Jerusalem & Gibeon. 1Chr.16.37-43
38 Porro Obededom, et fratres ejus sexaginta octo: et Obededom filium Idithun, et Hosa constituit janitores. Forsothe he ordeynede porteris, Obededom and hise britheren, eiyte and sixti, and Obededom, the sone of Idithum, and Oza. And Obededom, with his brethren sixty-eight: and Obededom the son of Idithun, and Hosa he appointed to be porters.  
39 Sadoc autem sacerdotem, et fratres ejus sacerdotes, coram tabernaculo Domini in excelso, quod erat in Gabaon, Sotheli he ordeynede Sadoch preest, and hise britheren, preestis bifor the tabernacle of the Lord, in the hiy place that was in Gabaon, And Sadoc the priest, and his brethren priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place, which was in Gabaon.  
40 ut offerrent holocausta Domino super altare holocautomatis jugiter, mane et vespere, juxta omnia quæ scripta sunt in lege Domini, quam præcepit Israëli. for to offre brent sacrifices to the Lord on the auter of brent sacrifice contynueli, in the morwetid and euentid, bi alle thingis that ben writun in the lawe of the Lord, which he comaundide to Israel. That they should offer holocausts to the Lord upon the altar of holocausts continually, morning and evening, according to all that is written in the law of the Lord, which he commanded Israel.  
41 Et post eum Heman, et Idithun, et reliquos electos, unumquemque vocabulo suo ad confitendum Domino, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus. And aftir hym Dauyd ordeynede Eman, and Idithum, and other chosene, ech man bi his name, for to knowleche to the Lord; for his mercy is withouten ende. And after him Heman, and Idithun, and the rest that were chosen, every one by his name to give praise to the Lord: because his mercy endureth for ever.  
42 Heman quoque, et Idithun canentes tuba, et quatientes cymbala, et omnia musicorum organa et canendum Deo: filios autem Idithun fecit esse portarios. Also he ordeynede Eman, and Idithum, trumpynge, and schakynge cymbalis, and alle orguns of musikis, for to synge to God; forsothe he made the sones of Idithum to be portours, ether bereris. And Heman and Idithun sounded the trumpet, and played on the cymbals, and all kinds of musical instruments to sing praises to God: and the sons of Idithun he made porters.  
43 Reversusque est omnis populus in domum suam: et David, ut benediceret etiam domui suæ. And al the puple turnede ayen in to her hows, and Dauid turnede ayen, to blesse also his hows. And all the people returned to their houses: and David to bless also his own house.
