1 Filii autem Israël secundum numerum suum, principes familiarum, tribuni, et centuriones, et præfecti, qui ministrabant regi juxta turmas suas, ingredientes et egredientes per singulos menses in anno, viginti quatuor millibus singuli præerant. Forsothe the sones of Israel bi her noumbre, the princes of meynees, the tribunes, and centuriouns, and prefectis, that mynystriden to the kyng bi her cumpenyes, entrynge and goynge out bi ech monethe in the yeer, weren souereyns, ech bi hym silf, on foure and twenti thousynde. 2 Primæ turmæ in primo mense Jesboam præerat filius Zabdiel, et sub eo viginti quatuor millia; Isiboam, the sone of Zabdihel, was souereyn of the firste cumpenye in the firste monethe, and vndur hym weren foure and twenti thousynde; Over the first company the first month Jesboam, the son of Zabdiel was chief, and under him were four and twenty thousand.  
3 de filiis Phares, princeps cunctorum principum in exercitu mense primo. of the sones of Fares was the prince of alle princes in the oost, in the firste monethe. Of the sons of Phares, the chief of all the captains in the host in the first month.  
4 Secundi mensis habebat turmam Dudia Ahohites, et post se alter nomine Macelloth, qui regebat partem exercitus viginti quatuor millium. Dudi Achoites hadde the cumpany of the secounde monethe, and aftir hym silf he hadde another man, Macelloth bi name, that gouernede a part of the oost of foure and twenti thousynde. 5 Dux quoque turmæ tertiæ in mense tertio, erat Banaias filius Jojadæ sacerdos: et in divisione sua viginti quatuor millia. And Bananye, the sone of Joiada, the preest, was duyk of the thridde cumpenye in the thridde monethe, and four and twenti thousynde in his departyng; And the captain of the third company for the third month, was Banaias the son of Joiada the priest: and in his division were four and twenty thousand.  
6 Ipse est Banaias fortissimus inter triginta, et super triginta: præerat autem turmæ ipsius Amizabad filius ejus. thilke is Bananye, the strongest among thritti, and aboue thritti; forsothe Amyzadath, his sone, was souereyn of his cumpenye. This is that Banaias the most valiant among the thirty, and above the thirty. And Amizabad his son commanded his company.  
7 Quartus, mense quarto, Asahel frater Joab, et Zabadias filius ejus post eum: et in turma ejus viginti quatuor millia. In the fourthe monethe, the fourthe prince was Asahel, the brother of Joab, and Zabadie, his sone, aftir hym, and foure and twenti thousynde in his cumpeny. The fourth, for the fourth month, was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zabadias his son after him: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.  
8 Quintus, mense quinto, princeps Samaoth Jezerites: et in turma ejus viginti quatuor millia. In the fifthe monethe, the fifthe prince was Samoth Jezarites, and foure and twenti thousynde in his cumpenye. The fifth captain for the fifth month, was Samaoth a Jezerite: and his company were four and twenty thousand.  
9 Sextus, mense sexto, Hira filius Acces Thecuites: et in turma ejus viginti quatuor millia. In the sixte monethe, the sixte prince was Ira, the sone of Actes, Techuytes, and foure and twenti thousynde in his cumpeny. The sixth, for the sixth month, was Hira the son of Acces a Thecuite: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.  
10 Septimus, mense septimo, Helles Phallonites de filiis Ephraim: et in turma ejus viginti quatuor millia. In the seuenthe monethe, the seuenthe prince was Helles Phallonites, of the sones of Effraym, and foure and twenti thousynde in his cumpeny. The seventh, for the seventh month, was Helles a Phallonite of the sons of Ephraim: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.  
11 Octavus, mense octavo, Sobochai Husathites de stirpe Zarahi: et in turma ejus viginti quatuor millia. In the eiythe monethe, the eiythe prince was Sobothai Assothites, of the generacioun of Zarai, and foure and twenti thousynde in his cumpeny. The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sobochai a Husathite of the race of Zarahi: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.  
12 Nonus, mense nono, Abiezer Anathothites de filiis Jemini: et in turma ejus viginti quatuor millia. In the nynthe monethe, the nynthe prince was Abiezer Anathotites, of the generacioun of Gemyny, and foure and tweynti thousynde in his cumpeny. The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer an Anathothite of the sons of Jemini, and in His company were four and twenty thousand.  
13 Decimus, mense decimo, Marai, et ipse Netophathites de stirpe Zarai: et in turma ejus viginti quatuor millia. In the tenthe monethe, the tenthe prince was Maray, and he was Neophatites, of the generacioun of Zaray, and foure and twenti thousynde in his cumpany. The tenth, for the tenth month, was Marai, who was a Netophathite of the race of Zarai: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.  
14 Undecimus, mense undecimo, Banaias Pharathonites de filiis Ephraim: et in turma ejus viginti quatuor millia. In the elleuenthe monethe, the elleuenthe prince was Banaas Pharonytes, of the sones of Effraym, and foure and twenti thousynde in his cumpeny. The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Banaias, a Pharathonite of the sons of Ephraim: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.  
15 Duodecimus, mense duodecimo, Holdai Netophathites, de stirpe Gothoniel: et in turma ejus viginti quatuor millia. In the tweluethe monethe, the tweluethe prince was Holdia Nethophatites, of the generacioun of Gothonyel, and foure and twenti thousynde in his cumpeny. The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Holdai a Netophathite, of the race of Gothoniel: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.  
16 Porro tribubus præerant Israël, Rubenitis, dux Eliezer filius Zechri: Simeonitis, dux Saphatias filius Maacha: Forsothe these weren souereyns of the lynages of Israel; duyk Eliezer, sone of Zechri, was souereyn to Rubenytis; duyk Saphacie, sone of Maacha, was souereyn to Symeonytis; Now the chiefs over the tribes of Israel were these: over the Rubenites, Eliezer the son of Zechri was ruler: over the Simeonites, Saphatias the son of Maacha : Administration of the tribes of Israel. 1Chr.27.16-24

20 filiis Ephraim, Osee filius Ozaziu: dimidiæ tribui Manasse, Joël filius Phadaiæ: Ozee, the sone of Ozazym, was souereyn to the sones of Effraym; Johel, the sone of Phatae, was souereyn to the half lynage of Manasses; Over the sons of Ephraim, Osee the: son of Ozaziu: over the half tribe of Manasses, Joel the son of Phadaia:  
21 et dimidiæ tribui Manasse in Galaad, Jaddo filius Zachariæ: Benjamin autem, Jasiel filius Abner. and Jaddo, the sone of Zacarie, was souereyn to the half lynage of Manasses in Galaad; sotheli Jasihel, the sone of Abner, was souereyn to Beniamyn; forsothe Ezriel, And over the half tribe of Manasses: in Galaad, Jaddo the son of Zacharias: and over Benjamin, Jasiel the son of Abner.  
22 Dan vero, Ezrihel filius Jeroham: hi principes filiorum Israël. the sone of Jeroam, was souereyn to Dan; these weren the princes of the sones of Israel. And over Dan, Ezrihel the son of Jeroham: these were the princes of the children of Israel.  
23 Noluit autem David numerare eos a viginti annis inferius: quia dixerat Dominus ut multiplicaret Israël quasi stellas cæli. Forsothe Dauid nolde noumbre hem with ynne twenti yeer, for the Lord seide, that he wolde multiplie Israel as the sterris of heuene. But David would not number them from twenty years old and under: because the Lord had said that he would multiply Israel like the stars of heaven.  
24 Joab filius Sarviæ cœperat numerare, nec complevit: quia super hoc ira irruerat in Israël: et idcirco numerus eorum qui fuerant recensiti, non est relatus in fastos regis David. Joab, the sone of Saruye, bigan for to noumbre, and he fillide not; for ire fel on Israel for this thing, and therfor the noumbre of hem, that weren noumbrid, was not teld in to the bookis of cronyclis of kyng Dauid. Joab the son of Sarvia began to number, but he finished not: because upon this there fell wrath upon Israel: and therefore the number of them that were numbered, was not registered in the chronicles of king David.  
25 Super thesauros autem regis fuit Azmoth filius Adiel: his autem thesauris, qui erant in urbibus, et in vicis, et in turribus, præsidebat Jonathan filius Oziæ. Forsothe Azymoth, the sone of Adihel, was on the tresouris of the kyng; but Jonathan, the sone of Ozie, was souereyn of these tresours, that weren in cytees, and in townes, and in touris. And over the king's treasures was Azmoth the son of Adiel: and over those stores which were in the cities, and is the villages, and in the castles, was Jonathan the son of Ozias. 26 Operi autem rustico, et agricolis, qui exercebant terram, præerat Ezri filius Chelub: Sotheli Ezri, the sone of Chelub, was souereyn on the werk of hosebondrie, and on erthe tiliers, that tiliden the lond; And over the tillage, and the husbandmen, who tilled the ground, was Ezri the son of Chelub:  
27 vinearumque cultoribus, Semeias Romathites: cellis autem vinariis, Zabdias Aphonites. and Semeye Ramathites was souereyn on tilieris of vyneris; sotheli Zabdie Aphonytes was souereyn on the wyn celeris; And over the dressers of the vineyards, was Semeias a Romathite: and over the wine cellars, Zabdias an Aphonite.  
28 Nam super oliveta et ficeta, quæ erant in campestribus, Balanam Gederites: super apothecas autem olei, Joas. for Balanam Gadaritis was on the olyue placis, and fige places, that weren in the feeldi places; sotheli Joas was on the schoppis, ether celeris, of oile; And over the oliveyards and the fig groves, which were in the plains, was Balanam a Gederite: and over the oil cellars, Joas.  
29 Porro armentis, quæ pascebantur in Saron, præpositus fuit Setrai Saronites: et super boves in vallibus, Saphat filius Adli: forsothe Cethray Saronytis was souereyn of the droues, that weren lesewid in Sarena; and Saphat, the sone of Abdi, was ouer the oxis in valeys; And over the herds that fed in Saron, was Setrai a Saronite: and over the. oxen in the valleys, Saphat the son of Adli:  
30 super camelos vero, Ubil Ismahelites: et super asinos, Jadias Meronathites: sotheli Vbil of Ismael was ouer the camelis; and Jadye Meronathites was ouer the assis; and Jazir Aggarene was ouer the scheep; And over the camels, Ubil an Ishmahelite: and over the asses, Jadias a Meronathite:  
31 super oves quoque Jaziz Agareus: omnes hi, principes substantiæ regis David. alle these weren princes of the catel of kyng Dauid. And over the sheep Jazia an Agarene. All these were the rulers of the substance of king David.  
32 Jonathan autem patruus David, consiliarius, vir prudens et litteratus: ipse et Jahiel filius Hachamoni erant cum filiis regis. Forsothe Jonathas, brother of Dauithis fader, was a councelour, a myyti man, and prudent, and lettrid; he and Jahiel, the sone of Achamony, weren with the sones of the kyng. And Jonathan David's uncle, a counsellor, a wise and learned man: he and Jahiel the son of Hachamoni were with the king's sons. David's personal advisers. 1Chr.27.32-34
33 Achitophel etiam consiliarius regis, et Chusai Arachites amicus regis. Also Achitofel was a counselour of the kyng; and Chusi Arachites was a frend of the kyng. And Achitophel was the king's counsellor, and Chusai the Arachite, the king's friend.  
34 Post Achitophel fuit Jojada filius Banaiæ, et Abiathar. Princeps autem exercitus regis erat Joab. Aftir Achitofel was Joiada, the sone of Banaye, and Abyathar; but Joab was prince of the oost of the kyng. And after Achitophel was Joiada the son of Banaias, and Abiathar. And the general of the king's army was Joab.
