1 Divisiones autem janitorum: de Coritis Meselemia, filius Core, de filiis Asaph. 6 Semei autem filio ejus nati sunt filii, præfecti familiarum suarum: erant enim viri fortissimi. Forsothe to Semeye, his sone, weren borun sones, souereyns of her meynees; for thei weren ful stronge men. And to Semei his son were born sons, herds of their families: for they were men of great valour.  
7 Filii ergo Semeiæ: Othni, et Raphaël, et Obed, Elzabad, fratres ejus viri fortissimi: Eliu quoque et Samachias. Therfor the sones of Semeye weren Othyn, and Raphael, and Obediel, and Zadab; and hise britheren, ful stronge men; also Helyu, and Samathie. The sons then of Semeias were Othni, and Raphael, and Obed, Elizabad, and his brethren most valiant men: and Eliu, and Samachias.  
8 Omnes hi, de filiis Obededom: ipsi, et filii, et fratres eorum fortissimi ad ministrandum, sexaginta duo de Obededom. Alle these weren of the sones of Obededom; thei and her sones and britheren, ful stronge men for to serue, two and sixti of Obededom. All these of the sons of Obededom: they, and their sons, and their brethren most able men for service, sixty-two of Obededom.  
9 Porro Meselemiæ filii, et fratres eorum robustissimi, decem et octo. Sotheli of Mellesemeye, the sones and britheren, ful stronge, weren eiytene. And the sons of Meselemia, and their brethren strong men, were eighteen.  
10 De Hosa autem, id est, de filiis Merari: Semri princeps (non enim habuerat primogenitum, et idcirco posuerat eum pater ejus in principem), Forsothe of Oza, that is, of the sones of Merarie, Sechri was prince; for he hadde no firste gendrid, and therfor his fadir settide hym in to prince; And of Hosa, that is, of the sons of Merari: Semri the chief, (for he had not a firstborn, and therefore his father made him chief.)  
11 Helcias secundus, Tabelias tertius, Zacharias quartus: omnes hi filii, et fratres Hosa, tredecim. and Elchias the secounde, Thebelias the thridde, Zacarie the fourthe; alle these threttene weren the sones and britheren of Osa. Helcias the second, Tabelias the third, Zacharias the fourth: all these the sons, and the brethren of Hosa, were thirteen.  
12 Hi divisi sunt in janitores, ut semper principes custodiarum, sicut et fratres eorum ministrarent in domo Domini. These weren departid in to porteris, that euere the princes of kepyngis, as also her britheren, schulden mynystre in the hows of the Lord. Among these were the divisions of the porters, so that the chiefs of the wards, as well as their brethren, always ministered in the house of the Lord.  
13 Missæ sunt ergo sortes ex æquo, et parvis, et magnis, per familias suas in unamquamque portarum. Therfor lottis weren sent euenly, bothe to the litle and to the grete, bi her meyneeis, in to ech of the yatis. And they cast lots equally, both little and great, by their families for every one of the gates.  
14 Cecidit ergo sors orientalis, Selemiæ. Porro Zachariæ filio ejus, viro prudentissimo, et erudito, sortito obtigit plaga septentrionalis. Therfor the lot of the eest bifelde to Semelie; forsothe the north coost bifelde bi lot to Zacarie, his sone, a ful prudent man and lernd; And the lot of the east fell to Selemias. But to his son Zacharias, a very wise and learned man, the north gate fell by lot.  
15 Obededom vero et filiis ejus ad austrum: in qua parte domus erat senrioum concilium. sotheli to Obededom and hise sones at the southe, in which part of the hows the counsel of the eldre men was; And to Obededom and his sons that towards the south: in which part of the house was the council of the ancients.  
16 Sephim, et Hosa ad occidentem, juxta portam, quæ ducit ad viam ascensionis: custodia contra custodiam. Sotheli at the eest weren sixe dekenes, and at the north weren foure bi dai; and at the south also weren foure at the myddai; and, where the counsel was, weren tweyne and tweyne. Now towards the east were six Levites: and towards the north four a day: and towards the south likewise four a day: and where the council was, two and two.  
18 In cellulis quoque janitorum ad occidentem quatuor in via, binique per cellulas. And in the sellis, ethir litle housis, of porteris at the west, weren foure in the weie, and tweyne bi the sellis. In the cells also of the porters toward the west four in the way: and two at every cell.  
19 Hæ sunt divisiones janitorum filiorum Core et Merari. These weren the departyngis of porteris, of the sones of Chore and of Merary. These are the divisions of the porters of the sons of Core, and of Merari.  
20 Porro Achias erat super thesauros domus Dei, et vasa sanctorum. Forsothe Achias was ouer the tresours of the hows of the Lord, and ouer the vessels of hooli thingis. Now Achias was over the treasures of the house of God, and the holy vessels. Other temple duties. 1Chr.26.20-28
21 Filii Ledan, filii Gersonni: de Ledan principes familiarum Ledan, et Gersonni, Jehieli. The sones of Leedan, the sone of Gerson; of Leedan weren the princis of meynees of Leedan, and of Gerson, and of Jehiel. The sons of Ledan, the sons of Gersonni: of Ledan were heads of the families, of Ledan, and Gersonni, Jehieli.  
22 Filii Jehieli: Zathan, et Joël fratres ejus super thesauros domus Domini. The sones of Jehiel weren, Zethan, and Johel, his brother, ouer the tresours of the hows of the Lord, The sons of Jehieli: Zathan and Joel, his brethren over the treasures of the house of the Lord,  
23 Amramitis, et Isaaritis, et Hebronitis, et Ozihelitis. Amramytis, and Isaaritis, and Ebronytis, and Ezielitis. With the Amramites, and Isaarites, and Hebronites, and Ozielites.  
24 Subaël autem filius Gersom, filii Moysi, præpositus thesauris. Forsothe Subahel, the sone of Gerson, sone of Moises, was souereyn of the tresour; And Subael the son of Gersom, the son of Moses, was chief over the treasures.  
25 Fratres quoque ejus Eliezer, cujus filius Rahabia, et hujus filius Isaias, et hujus filius Joram, hujus quoque filius Zechri, et hujus filius Selemith. and his brother, Eliezer; whos sone was Raabia; and his sone was Asaye; his sone was Joram; and his sone was Zechry; but and his sone was Selemith. His brethren also, Eliezer, whose son Rohobia, and his son Isaias, and his son Joram, and his son Zechri, and his son Selemith.  
26 Ipse Selemith, et fratres ejus, super thesauros sanctorum, quæ sanctificavit David rex, et principes familiarum, et tribuni, et centuriones, et duces exercitus, Thilke Selemith, and his britheren, weren ouer the tresours of hooli thingis, whiche Dauid the kyng halewide, and the princes of meynees, and the tribunes, and the centuriouns, and the duykis of the oost, Which Selemith and his brethren were over the treasures of the holy things, which king David, and the heads of families, and the captains over thousands and over hundreds, and the captains of the host had dedicated,  
27 de bellis, et manubiis præliorum, quæ consecraverant ad instaurationem, et supellectilem templi Domini. of the batels, and of the spuylis of batels, whiche thei halewiden to the reparacioun and purtenaunce of the temple of the Lord. Out of the wars, and the spoils won in battles, which they had consecrated to the building and furniture of the temple of the Lord.  
28 Hæc autem universa sanctificavit Samuel videns, et Saul filius Cis, et Abner filius Ner, et Joab filius Sarviæ: omnes, qui sanctificaverant ea per manum Selemith, et fratrum ejus. Forsothe Samuel, the prophete, halewide alle these thingis, and Saul, the sone of Cys, and Abner, the sone of Ner, and Joab, the sone of Saruye; and alle halewiden tho thingis bi the hond of Salemyth, and of his britheren. And all these things that Samuel the seer and Saul the son of Cis, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Sarvia had sanctified: and whosoever had sanctified those things, they were under the hand of Selemith and his brethren.  
29 Isaaritis vero præerat Chonenias, et filii ejus ad opera forinsecus super Israël ad docendum et judicandum eos. Sotheli Chonenye was souereyn and hise sones to Isaaritis, to the werkis with outforth on Israel, to teche and to deme hem. But Chonenias and his sons were over the Isaarites, for the business abroad over Israel to teach them and judge them. Duties of other Levites. 1Chr.26.29-32
30 Porro de Hebronitis Hasabias, et fratres ejus viri fortissimi, mille septingenti præerant Israëli trans Jordanem contra occidentem, in cunctis operibus Domini, et in ministerium regis. Sotheli of Ebronytis, Asabie, and Sabie, and hise britheren, ful stronge men, a thousynde and seuene hundrid, weren souereyns on Israel biyende Jordan ayens the weste, in alle the werkis of the Lord, and in to the seruyce of the kyng. And of the Hebronites Hasabias, and his brethren most able men, a thousand seven hundred had the charge over Israel beyond the Jordan westward, in all the works of the Lord, and for the service of the king.  
31 Hebronitarum autem princeps fuit Jeria secundum familias et cognationes eorum. Quadragesimo anno regni David recensiti sunt, et inventi sunt viri fortissimi in Jazer Galaad, Forsothe Herie was prynce of Ebronytis, bi her meynees and kynredis. In the fourtithe yeer of the rewme of Dauid there weren noumbred and foundun ful stronge men in Jazer Galaad; And the chief of the Hebronites was Jeria according to their families and kindreds. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were numbered, and there were found most valiant men in Jazer Galaad,  
32 fratresque ejus robustioris ætatis, duo millia septingenti principes familiarum. Præposuit autem eos David rex Rubenitis, et Gadditis, et dimidiæ tribui Manasse, in omne ministerium Dei, et regis. and hise britheren, of strongere age, twei thousynde and seuene hundrid, princes of meynees. Sotheli Dauid the kyng made hem souereyns of Rubenytis and Gaditis, and of the half lynage of Manasses, in to al the seruyce of God and of the kyng. And his brethren of stronger age, two thousand seven hundred chiefs of families. And king David made them rulers over the Rubenites and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasses, for all the service of God, and the king.
